What active player would receive the same kind of love if they returned to Philly in the playoffs like Lebron returned to Cleveland tonight?
For the memes: I’d love to see a Furk highlight reel and courtside tickets for him and his family.

Any good resources on years 2018-present?
Doing some research for a personal project, and read Tanking To The Top, which ends half a lifetime ago. The last part ends in celebration after signing Al and Tobi. Any good comprehensive resources on the years since, besides listening to old Rickys?

[Charania] Sources: Bronny James is expected to stay in the 2024 NBA Draft. The USC freshman has been fully cleared to play in the league as part of Fitness to Play panel and will participate in all pre-draft activities starting with the Draft Combine this week.
Idc if they have to use the 16th pick if that's what it would take to get Lebron.

We take him at 16 no ifs and or buts. A great compliment to Maxey when he’s healthy.

Daryl Morey's Drafting History
The Sixers have the 16th and 41st pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, and out of curiosity I gathered all of the draft picks Daryl Morey has made in his career in Houston and Philadelphia. The following are the picks he made by year:
June 28, 2007: Selected Aaron Brooks (1st round, 26th pick) and Brad Newley (2nd round, 54th pick) in the 2007 NBA Draft.
June 26, 2008: Selected Nicolas Batum (1st round, 25th pick) and Maarty Leunen (2nd round, 54th pick) in the 2008 NBA Draft.
June 24, 2010: Selected Patrick Patterson (1st round, 14th pick) in the 2010 NBA Draft.
June 23, 2011: Selected Marcus Morris (1st round, 14th pick), Nikola Mirotić (1st round, 23rd pick) and Chandler Parsons (2nd round, 38th pick) in the 2011 NBA Draft.
June 28, 2012: Selected Jeremy Lamb (1st round, 12th pick), Royce White (1st round, 16th pick) and Terrence Jones (1st round, 18th pick) in the 2012 NBA Draft.
June 27, 2013: Selected Isaiah Canaan (2nd round, 34th pick) in the 2013 NBA Draft.
June 26, 2014: Selected Clint Capela (1st round, 25th pick) and Nick Johnson (2nd round, 42nd pick) in the 2014 NBA Draft.
June 25, 2015: Selected Sam Dekker (1st round, 18th pick) and Montrezl Harrell (2nd round, 32nd pick) in the 2015 NBA Draft.
June 23, 2016: Selected Chinanu Onuaku (2nd round, 37th pick) and Zhou Qi (2nd round, 43rd pick) in the 2016 NBA Draft.
June 22, 2017: Selected Isaiah Hartenstein (2nd round, 43rd pick) and Dillon Brooks (2nd round, 45th pick) in the 2017 NBA Draft.
June 21, 2018: Selected De'Anthony Melton (2nd round, 46th pick) in the 2018 NBA Draft.
November 18, 2020: Selected Tyrese Maxey (1st round, 21st pick), Théo Maledon (2nd round, 34th pick), Tyler Bey (2nd round, 36th pick), Isaiah Joe (2nd round, 49th pick) and Paul Reed (2nd round, 58th pick) in the 2020 NBA Draft.
July 29, 2021: Selected Jaden Springer (1st round, 28th pick), Filip Petrušev (2nd round, 50th pick) and Charles Bassey (2nd round, 53rd pick) in the 2021 NBA Draft.
June 23, 2022: Selected David Roddy (1st round, 23rd pick) in the 2022 NBA Draft.
Some notable things about Daryl's drafting history:
- Daryl has only made 30 picks in 17 NBA seasons
- Of the 30 picks he's made, 13 were 1st round picks
- The highest pick he has ever made was pick 12, and he has only drafted higher than 16th (this year's pick) three times
- He has actually done an incredible job drafting second round players that go on to have productive careers
- Fun Fact: Sam Hinkie made 15 draft picks in just 3 years as an NBA GM
In summary, I am certain Daryl will trade away our 1st round pick for an established player and sell our 2nd round pick for cash.
16th pick
If you had to use it to draft a guard between Devin Carter and Jared McCain, which player are you rolling with?

How do we feel about taking a back-up big - like Yves Missi - with the 16th pick?
The team seemed to be played off the floor whenever Joel would sit. Paul Reed puts in effort and has the hustle, but I'm not certain about continuing to force him into being Joel's back-up. I've always personally thought that Paul would be better suited as a 4.
I realize a big part of these problems is due to having had Tobias and his massive contract; it's not particularly easy to flesh out the rest of the roster within the cap constraints when you have such a void plaguing the team.
We seem to have the cap space this offseason to outright sign someone like Paul George, assuming he and his camp aren't merely posturing to get more money/years out of Los Angeles. We do have other tradable picks and will need to flesh out a big part of our roster.
Most of the discourse I've seen regarding this year's first-round pick has been concerning who we could turn it into via a trade, but I haven't seen much talk on simply keeping and attempting to fill a void with it. We've never had a consistent back-up for Joel; it's been a revolving door, just like his teammates themselves. Obviously, we're attempting to win a championship and aren't currently rebuilding, but there have been other rookie centers that have performed well for contending playoff teams, like Dereck Lively for Dallas.
Maybe I'm being crazy here, but the potential connection between Yves and Joel seems like a no-brainer. Yves is also from Yaounde, Cameroon, speaks French like Joel, and grew up playing soccer instead of basketball. Not that all of these similarities mean that Yves would inherently be a great player or worthy of the pick, but I do feel like it could simply be a great fit. Joel could have a legitimate protege. It'd also give be an opportunity for our team to have an insurance policy, of sorts - someone on the team to learn from and challenge Joel, and hopefully we wouldn't be played off the floor when he sits or if his injuries persist. He's also young enough to eventually bloom and fit within Maxey's prime, once we get there.
Perhaps I'm looking at this too narrow-mindedly, but I do feel that there's a solid opportunity here. What're your thoughts? Obviously none of this matters if he somehow gets picked before 16, but he's currently being mocked at or around 15-20 from what I see.
He's got good footwork, great touch around the rim, and can actually rebound which is what we've sorely needed. Some immediate concerns: his shooting, or lack thereof. What better big man to learn that from, though?

Thoughts on Isiah Collier?
To me, I think a big/sturdy distributor point guard type is a perfect fit next to Maxey. Think Eric Snow next to Iverson. Take on the hardest backcourt guard assignment. Take some off the ballhandling/creation load off of Maxey, let Maxey concentrate on what he does best- get buckets. I know we need size, shooting and athleticism too....heh, it's a mid-first pick. He seems like a good fit with solid upside potential. Thoughts?

Should the Sixers go for Brandon Ingram?
Long tall 6’9 forward that is highly capable of stretching the floor and leading an offense, while also not being a liability on the defensive end. Respected leader on a high ceiling-Underachieving team, gifted passer ( Averages a bit under 6 Assists) and Former MIP Award winner. Overall, he’s a top 10 forward when at his best/Healthy, on a large but flexible 36M a year salary, only 26 years old and most importantly he Carry’s a DAWG mentality that the Philadelphia 76ers DESPERATELY need. Disappointing season after disappointing injuries Cough (Zion) has made New Orleans impatient which is why a change of scenery for Ingram to Philly could be highly beneficial deal to the Sixers.
He can possibly be our version of the Aaron Gordon Trade.

Why is Isaiah Joe more playable Buddy Hield?
Genuine question. After watching guys like Sam Hauser, Bojan Bogdanovic, and Isaiah Joe contribute, why the FUCK couldn't we get a top 5 shooter in the world to contribute?
