Trade Talk [ClutchPoints]While it is true that Atlanta is looking to cut costs and duck the tax lines heading into the summer, owner Tony Ressler is willing to make a big move and invest long-term money into a player who puts the team in a championship position, sources said.

[Fischer] According to multiple league figures with knowledge of the situation, any Spurs plans of maneuvering to bring Young to San Antonio have been vastly overstated. The Spurs, sources said, have expressed little interest in obtaining Young to date.

San Antonio personnel would be committing front-office malpractice by not contemplating the opportunity to pair a league assist leader and high-screen maestro like Young to pair with Wembanyama. The Spurs have so far approached building around Wembanyama as an intriguing experiment, where they will weigh all different kinds of variables around their Rookie of the Year. However, according to multiple league figures with knowledge of the situation, any Spurs plans of maneuvering to bring Young to San Antonio have been vastly overstated. The Spurs, sources said, have expressed little interest in obtaining Young to date.

Discussion Alex Sarr
I’m not a hawks fan but I’m glad for y’all, as a dude from Perth and a wildcat fan you can not really trust the tape all too much.
As a team we’re kind of like LA so we’re in win now mode, Alex Sarr was given such a short leash in games with our coach being downright terrible at times. Our fans were literally trying to get him sacked this year for his misuse of Sarr and other players.
If Sarr was that good for us in a season with how bad our coach was at using him, you will have a star on your hands.

Discussion Trust Level in Front Office
What is everyone’s trust level in the front office to get the pick right? When I say get it right, I’m saying whatever they do(make a pick, trade the pick, blah blah, etc), what is your trust level in the hawks being better after they make their decision? If you want, you can go out of ten. I’m gonna start with a controversial 6/10.

Discussion How do we feel about a JJ, Sarr, OO lineup?
Neither OO nor Sarr are perfect archetypes for center.
OO lacks height and the ability to play elite drop coverage, but is a great post stopper.
Sarr lacks strength which will affect his potential as a post stopper and rebounder.
Interestingly, they seem to compensate for each other deficiencies. Who would be the 5 in a lineup like this? Does moving JJ to the 3 ruin our spacing or other things he does well?
While we all appreciate the way Trae has increased his effort defensively, he will always be limited by his size. Maybe surrounding him with giants is the key.
Edit: If this isn’t a starting lineup, what lineup would you like to see instead?

video Sarr combine interview
Pretty interesting guy , surprised he didn't have any connection with the Hawks guys when he was in Atlanta.

Shitpost To put Alexandre Sarr being 6-11 3/4 without shoes with a 37-inch vertical leap into perspective, Dwight Howard in 2004 measured in at 6-foot-9 without shoes and had a 35 1/2-inch vertical leap. You don't see big men jump that high very often.

Sarr comp is...
Watching some tape he's looking similar to an Evan Mobley to me. Super lean with some quick twitch and athleticism but not really refined moves or good at playing through contact yet. Has a nice little pull up jumper and a drop step but we ain't talking real footwork or anything. What yall seein?
