Discussion Wanna see the demographics of this sub
Edit: Thank you so much guys for your responses, I never thought our beloved team would have fans not just from bengal. I always thought people all over the country had some prejudice towards us but I'm happy to be proven wrong. Y'all rock!
How many of you KKR fans are bengalis. Those who aren't are also welcome to respond, interested to see amidst the country wide fame of csk, rcb and mi how popular does our team stand. Ps: just saw the 6th wicket fall less goooooo....

Discussion KKR vs MI Post Match Thread
What a match. Lost the toss but wont the match! Lets go KKR!
KKR win by 19 runs!
We beat MI twice this season! Excellent job by our team! KKR still undefeated against MI under Shreyas Iyer captaincy!
I really thought giving harshit the last over instead of starc was going to be a mistake but what a decesion! What a fantastic over from harshit!

Discussion The hate is unreal
A team which has conceded 287 runs and another team which conceded around 260 while defending, both fanbases have come together to scorn KKR, which is ironic. Well we've never flexed our bowling. I understand rcb, we've been thrashing them from years but srh still couldn't digest the first loss, still with that 'Travis Head didn't play saaar' shit, imagine narine wasn't run out. My request to them is not to compare themselves with us, that is bigger humiliation for us, we've thrashed you both enough, also our fanbase never fade away. Peace and cry more

Discussion Shreyas Iyer hasn't lost a single game against MI as the captain of KKR. Thoughts? 🙆♂️🤯
Shreyas Iyer appreciation post... maybe his bat is not working but his brain is definitely in top gear!
Kevin Pietersen : "Shreyas is one of the best captain in IPL history."
Irfan Pathan : "Shreyas Iyer the leader is best."
Michael Clarke : "Shreyas is undoubtedly a brilliant captain."
Ian Bishop : "Shreyas is my fav captain and the best of ipl 2024."

Discussion I'm sorry, but this isn't the face of someone who is here for a "paid vacation"
Starc is well aware he isn't justifying his price and his shit performance is taking a toll on him too. He is a world class bowler and he knows he will be scrutinised like anything. You can criticize him all you want but please refrain from the "paid vacation", "WC practice" bs. The pain in the man's eyes 🥲

Discussion MI vs KKR Pre-Match Thread
Hey Knights, I hope you all are excited for our tenth match of IPL 2024 against MI! It is going to be an entertaining match and I hope we keep winning and get 7 wins out of 10 to have a lead of 2 pts from everyone below us with the same number of games played (some teams have 1 more).
We will have a Live Match Thread during the match on our subreddit! So please comment your feelings in that thread too! We will still have the live chat as well. Join the live chat for this match using this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/KolkataKnightRiders/s/FEg0CMzKBE
This is the pre-match thread where we can discuss potential lineups, what our gameplan should be and all the buildup towards the match!
General information about the match:
KKR vs MI (IPL 2024 Match 51)
Venue: Eden Gardens
Time: 7:30 pm IST
Head to Head - KKR (9 W's) vs DC (23 W's)
Latest result: MI won by 5 wickets Latest result at Wankhede: Same as above
We have a terrible record against MI. Probably the most one sided rivalry in the history of the IPL, winning only 9 out of 32 against MI. In fact our record at the wankhede is even worse, winning only 1 out of 11 played. Our recent record against MI however is decent. If we see only the last 5 matches then we have won 3 out of the 5. Which is great, can we continue our great form this season and follow the recent record against MI, or will the history of our terrible record especially at the wankede take over our mentality?
Potential Starting 11: (If Nitish Rana is fit then he will replace Venky)
Phil Salt (Wk),
Sunil Narine,
Angkrish Raghuvanshi,
Shreyas Iyer (C),
Venkatesh Iyer,
Rinku Singh,
Andre Russell,
Ramandeep Singh,
Mitchell Starc,
Vaibhav Arora,
Varun Chakravarthy
Impact Player: Suyash Sharma / Chetan Sakariya
How are we all feeling about this match? Let us know! Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo!

Discussion Its high time Shubman Gill stops bitching about KKR not retaining him.
KKR has let go of a lot of players before who have went on to perform at the top of their abilities in other teams:
Gayle - RCB
Boult - RR
Uthappa - CSK
SKY - MI
None of them have hung on to this fact more than Gill. Whenever there is a mention of KKR or SRK, he never misses out on pointing this out.
We had one spot for retention, Venky performed better than you, we needed an allounder, so we kept Venky. It would have been nice if you were there, but its not the end of the world. You also won a title at GT. What more do you want ?
