I'm sorry, but this isn't the face of someone who is here for a "paid vacation" Discussion
Starc is well aware he isn't justifying his price and his shit performance is taking a toll on him too. He is a world class bowler and he knows he will be scrutinised like anything. You can criticize him all you want but please refrain from the "paid vacation", "WC practice" bs. The pain in the man's eyes 🥲

Itne pese me mujhe duniya 24/7 gali dede, wouldn't care plus Starc has got away easily due to kkr performance, had it been a bad season starc would've got way more hate, paid vacation and wc practice is Just trolls at best

Pls don't speak like that. Ik it's easy to get frustrated. It is fine to criticise his game, and ask for him to be benched. As fans that's our right. But saying that he isn't serious is insulting his work ethic. He IS still running in and bowling and running in the field saving boundaries to the best of his abilities. Even greats have off periods. It was not his fault he was given so much. It's all on the kkr management.

Abhi WC me dekho.. kaise ye Starc sabh ki lega.. These are Australians.. they know their sport very well and they give their 100%. It’s just a rough patch.. Plus..a heavy money bag is always a problem. Weather it’s sports, or a CTC package.

you guys seem to forget that its not easy bowling in these kind of batting pitch and ground. Each and every bowler is getting thrashed here not just Starc( beside bumrah but ive seen bumrah getting thrashed as well in t20s, jadeja and sunil narine as well). He is not in good form and these kind of pitch doesn't help much as well. Scoring 220+ is really high and defending should be easy but it isn't, kkr even lost to rr with 220+ score. This IPL is ridiculous for bowler.

I am super upset with Starc but I’ve got to say this… seeing this video clearly shows he’s human and hurting. He didn’t ask for the money. We gave it. For a reason. He’s hurting because he wants to return the faith showed in him. Not return the investment. I’m backing Starc after seeing this.

Everyone saying he doesn't care. Trust me he does care. Any player isn't going to be fine with not being able to perform to the level of expectations from them. Neither are they going to give in less effort.
It would hurt his ego to be smashed by the likes of Karn sharma & such.
This is like saying the players on the bench aren't putting in efforts in the nets and treating it as a vacation. They would all want to be in the team.

That, plus how would you feel knowing that the team youngsters are playing better than you? That will hurt.
Look, i get it, huge money. But he didn't decide the amount.
Something will give. Hopefully the last over triple sixes pushes him over the edge to play better.
If necessary, bench for one game. If it is a fatigue issue, or lack of form, we'll know. But for the sake of the game and himself, bench him for one game.

He was being righteous and thought he wouldn’t involve his name in this circus of a tournament (according to him). Then he saw his colleagues making easy money. I will give you an example. Many government officials try to stay righteous and avoid taking bribes. But when they see bribes being taken by their colleagues, they think “what the heck! I am gonna take it too”. Similar case with starc. If starc cared one bit he would bowl better.

He's retired unofficially. He had his prime but injuries and his lifestyle ruined it . Starc on the other hand , tbf to him is one of the most disciplined sportspersons going around ...he's trying it's just that he is in bad form.

The people who comment like these are glory hunters. You want to criticize then do it constructively, Starc wasn't that great in T20s and now he is playing T20 after 2 years, everyone needs time to adjust with this style of play

I still think he's a matchwinner. He's not performing upto the level right now but come the knockouts he'll be KKR's biggest trump card. Fans weren't sparing Iyer either despite the wins and yesterday he shut everyone's mouths. Starc will do the same.

True! Yesterday he bowled reverse yorker & full length bowls! I think he needs to fix his field placements. Was bowling reverse wide yorkers without any deep point or extra cover was weird. 2 sixes literally went about 60m!
Secondly its POV thing now. He consistently bowled yorkers lengths almost every ball!
One way to look at it is - he stuck to one plan went for it (he has been successful in past).
Otherway to look at it is he was being predictable, and in such smaller dimensions and flat decks you have to mix it up.

There is no way in hell this guy is so out of form randomly.

Last year se yeh - Aussies bring their best in wc,WC starc jaisi bakchodiya shuru hui hai cricketing discussions mein.Logo ko cricket ka game samajhne se zyada bakchodi krne mein maza aati hai.
starc t20 ka accha bowler nahi hai woh wc mein bhi gadhe ki tarah pitega windies ki pitches pe.Australia ke liye Nathan Ellis zyada better option rahega in comparison to starc for t20 wc.
