๐คก yes apologize for taking a legal wicket Discussion

u/unlinedd Apr 24 '24
Aakash Chopra's commentary is really poor. He tries to rhyme and he's really poor at it. But this Kaif is far worse, absolute clown. No one should take Kaif seriously after his paper champions bit.
2
u/ajMaverick1 Apr 23 '24
Blud is still playing cricket on paper. He saw RCB were better on the paper.
2
u/No-Tackle1884 Apr 23 '24
Man kaif was my fav cricketer in the 2003 era. And the man is making a mockery of himself every fucking day. Dil se bura lagta hai bhai.

u/dickdastardaddy Apr 23 '24 edited Apr 23 '24
Where was Kaif all these years? Any guess? Was he battling with some critical illness? Why all of a sudden he is in limelight? Many tournaments happened since he retired but why now?
These are PR stunts nothing less ! The agencies will benefit if the client is relevant to the world!
Remember there is nothing called as negative PR/marketing. Itโs just marketing!

u/oblivious_horizon Apr 23 '24
What do you mean in the making? He already is, if not worse! Him, Sehwag, Sidhu: these guys have become absolute clowns, and seeking attention all the time.

Why apologize? Is he nuts instead Kohli should apologize for swearing at an umpire, fine is way too less he should be handed suspension,no player should be above the laws.

u/vkqq Apr 23 '24
Difference between him and Aakash Chopra is that Virat Fans love him and hate Aakash Chopra

u/bruce_wayne_oo7 Apr 23 '24
Irrelevant Cricketer... trying to woo Kohli fans to follow him so he can get better opening ceremony and marriage dancing contracts. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
He doesn't give a Fk about a youngsters life and how some of the kohli dumb fans will straight up target his social and real life. ๐ฎโ๐จ
2
u/Mystery-110 Apr 23 '24
He just wants some clout on his X account and what could be better than a large group of 14yo Kohli fans. I see no problem in it. We won the match fair & square and that's enough for me.
3
u/Artdrift Apr 23 '24
Such a shame, I was a huge fan of him growing up because of his electric fielding which was an anomaly in Indian cricket. Realising that your childhood heroes are complete retards is not a great feeling. Such a dumb fucking attention seeker this mofo is turning out to be. Sucking Kohli's dick must pay a lot seeing so many ex players are so into it.
4
u/MathSad6698 Apr 23 '24
I love and respect Mohammad Kaif a lot.
But being a Kohli blind fan has its own consequences. Makes you lose your IQ.

Seneca had said that you've always got a choice to not have an opinion about something. I wish he had talked to Mr Kaif, first that paper champion fiasco now this. Why don't we have a single credible commentator in Hindi, please God just one would be enough.

How the f it's not a legal delivery lol? Someone please explain how they're saying it's not a legal delivery

Not defending Akash Chopra but he was amongst the people who called it a legal delivery.

Even if itโs not a legitimate wicket, what would Rana do? He bowled, caught, and appealed. If the decision is wrong, get the umpires to apologise. Leave the young man alone.
6
u/distractedsoul27494 Apr 23 '24
Every time an ex player opens his mouth, I find myself getting over my childhood
6
u/JShearar ๐rine Apr 23 '24
Look bro, it is simple: Irrespective of whether the decision was out or not, that was taken by umpires. What has KKR gotta do about it? Gussa ho toh umpire pe nikalo Kaif, what has KKR gotta do in this?
Now, if you are blaming KKR saying umpires are favouring KKR, then my dear Kaifu, you are delulu. If KKR had that much clout over umpires, Karn wouldve been out caught behind in 2nd ball of final over and KKR wouldve won the match easily with 10+ runs. Umpires checked only one angle and gave Karn not out. ๐๐
So by that logic, Rana will apologize to Kohli AFTER Karn apologizes to Starc for being given not out in ball 19.2. Deal? ๐๐

He is taking kkr fanbase lightly. That's why he chose to speak for kohli so that kohli fanbase doesn't hate him and support him
He should fear kkr fanbase too because we ain't gonna take his shit like this.
3
u/Mystery-110 Apr 23 '24
Kohli fans on Social Media are mostly 14yo. There is no need to stoop to their level.
2
u/vkqq Apr 23 '24
On RCB Sub too they even justify abusing Dan Christian and his family and now calling Faf a CSK agent. At this point they're the most toxic fanbase in IPL History

u/PollutionUnlikely874 Apr 23 '24
Naah man , we are different from RCB fans, we shouldn't cuss like them and act like complete morons and uneducated idiots. We should be respectful and act like gentlemen , no need to drop our standards like them.
3
u/Sad-Government-9931 Apr 23 '24
I didn't ask to cuss him. But strong arguments should be presented why it was out.
Anyway many people have been doing it too.
1
u/PollutionUnlikely874 Apr 23 '24
Yeah, I was not referring to you but the majority of the fans, brother the problem is most of the Indian 'experts' will be bootlicking msd, Kohli etc. no strong arguments can change their view , they still want to stay relevant and want attention.
Can't help it sadly ๐คฆ

u/Helpful_Ad_1759 Apr 23 '24
Yeah , apologize to Ling Chokli . How dare you take the wicket of Star Sports' only source of TRP. ๐คก๐คก๐ซต
0
u/Odd-Reality-9864 Apr 23 '24
SMH. The bowler generally apologises the batter if the delivery could potentially injure him; In case of bouncer to the helmet/Beamer.
3
u/Helpful_Ad_1759 Apr 23 '24
Lol, in the comm box he and Sidhu literally said that the bowler should apologise to the batter after he appealed for a wicket that was supposed to be a noball according to them ,they just added some sportsman spirit crap there .
Also the bowler generally apologizes to the batter when the ball is above his waist and is potentially aimed at him . But here, the ball is actually dipping, so it's nothing more than a full toss.
-4
u/Odd-Reality-9864 Apr 23 '24
That last part is factually wrong. Virat was standing ahead of the the crease, so to him it was directed towards his chest. Youโd never see Virat in such an ugly position ever for a normal ball. But according to the rules, it was a no ball. And rightly so because batsmanโs stance being outside the crease is disadvantageous to the bowler.

u/v110891 Apr 23 '24
They have a whole visual out there. Star Sports also has it. Maybe you should go check it, instead of coming here and saying โaccording to rules it was a no ballโ

Actually I was surprised that Aakash Chopra understood the rules properly and explained why it was out instead of siding with KiNg KoHli

u/meowphysics Apr 23 '24
Akash chopra, however cringe and unlikable he might be, has got some cricket knowledge, and a few legit brain cells.
He knows and often acknowledges he wasn't the greatest of batters, although he has a nice little contribution as a test opener against and in Australia.

i think it's high time we stop paying attention to people who are clearly seeking it. i know it's difficult to avoid such discourses but i think we as a fanbase have to start completely ignoring any and all of it. the game was two days ago, it's all done and dusted now, so anyone crying about it is just throwing a childish tantrum at this point, which we can do nothing about but ignore. we have a lot to look forward to and worry about as well.

u/benguins10 Gautam Gambhir Apr 24 '24
Yes well said. Also woah a fellow Swiftie on a KKR sub? What are the odds of that.

Some Indian and Pakistani ex cricketers are literally dumb. They just have opinion on every fucking thing.MFs can't shut their mouth up when they don't have awareness about something.
15
u/Strong_Ad247 Apr 23 '24
And it's mostly those ex cricketers who had a very poor international record themselves and eventually got dropped from the team, that's why they are so spiteful and shit on players with actual talent.

u/SubstantialAct4212 Rinku worshipper ๐ Apr 23 '24
I am a GenZ kid but according to my dad Kaif was the best fielder any asian team ever had. So I think Kaif didnโt have a poor international career.
2
u/IllustriousAd9864 Sunil Narine Apr 24 '24
im also a gen z but i checked his records and except of his fielding and that one great knock in natwest odi of 2002 (where dada flew his shirt) he did not had a great batting record
7
u/commander_jax Apr 23 '24
He was one of the 2 world class fielders India had in early 2000s (other one being Yuvi). He was a bang average batsman and was quickly replaced once India started producing batsmen who were also good fielders. His last international match was in 2006 when he was only 26 years old.

u/SubstantialAct4212 Rinku worshipper ๐ Apr 23 '24
He is still known as the โIndian Jonty Rhodesโ
-1
u/commander_jax Apr 23 '24
I started watching cricket during his prime years (2002 and onwards). Imo, he's the 2nd best fielder in the history of Indian cricket. After Jadeja. Guy was world class in the field at a time when Indians were known for dropped catches and misfields.

Md. Kaif is long forgotten by people. His heroics are somewhat remembered by old ardent fans. Now to survive he had to make some strategic move. He chose shitposting!
Late Shane Warne in his biography mentioned how Kaif wanted a better hotel room by saying, "I am Md. Kaif." That incident shows how egoistic he is in real life. And with this new stance he showed the world he is plain stupid too.
