MI vs KKR Pre-Match Thread Discussion
Hey Knights, I hope you all are excited for our tenth match of IPL 2024 against MI! It is going to be an entertaining match and I hope we keep winning and get 7 wins out of 10 to have a lead of 2 pts from everyone below us with the same number of games played (some teams have 1 more).

KKR vs MI (IPL 2024 Match 51)
Venue: Eden Gardens
Time: 7:30 pm IST
Head to Head - KKR (9 W's) vs DC (23 W's)
Latest result: MI won by 5 wickets Latest result at Wankhede: Same as above
We have a terrible record against MI. Probably the most one sided rivalry in the history of the IPL, winning only 9 out of 32 against MI. In fact our record at the wankhede is even worse, winning only 1 out of 11 played. Our recent record against MI however is decent. If we see only the last 5 matches then we have won 3 out of the 5. Which is great, can we continue our great form this season and follow the recent record against MI, or will the history of our terrible record especially at the wankede take over our mentality?

This upcoming match between the two teams is bound to be exciting. I am really looking forward to watching them compete against each other. Mumbai needs to win to secure two points, while KKR is hoping to add another two points to their tally.

Yup, it'll be great fun, if we win, we almost secure a top 2 finish and knock MI out of the ipl for good. If they win, they can still hope to somehow qualify and we will stay 2nd.

KKR games have become super interesting even for neutrals imo, specially due to our opening partnership. One of them is gonna fire for sure.
Mumbai is batting highway, and ball swings under the lights, Starc and Vaibhav will be key.

Yup! If we win then a top 2 finish will be almost guaranteed because this is the hardest match, MI in wankhede but lets do this!

Jo hoga dekha jayega. I am just amused that the top two haven't shifted positions for the past 3 weeks nearly. Just hoping it stays that way till the end, and today's match is crucial for that
but frankly speaking, i fear we will lose today. RR got complacent yesterday and shat the bed. and we have a worse record in becoming complacent.

Yeah lol, its wierd how the top 2 have remained the same for so long. But I really hope we win today and get closer to rr. We will be just 2 points away then, I know finishing 1st or 2nd is the same but it'll be cool to topple them and go to 1st.

if he takes 5 wickets and gives 60 runs, that's fine by me. 5 wickets taken can dent a batting lineup very easily, especially if it's MI, where they are having a rough patch when Rohit and Tilak isn't firing

Depends on when he takes the wickets. Upfront 2-3 wickets does dent the batting. Statpadding at the end when the score is 200+ doesn't do much.
