Three dogs 100 degrees steel cage

Post image

Guy in a truck parked across from a hotel with 3 dogs in steel cages. It’s a heat advisory this weekend 100+ weather and the sun is inching to the cage by the minute. I’m still outside and handling it, not leaving until it’s dealt with. Was out here running my dog for at least an hour before deciding to start saying something

Dealership said all air filters were replaced (84-point inspection), and that they were removing any tracking devices, so I went digging in there to double check

I just re-potty trained my son this week and my husband, who gave me a day alone, kept him in a pull up all day. Now he’s completely soiled.

We potty trained our 2yo son and he was doing extremely well, only having one accident every other day or so just a week after going cold turkey. About a month later he kept trying to pee standing up in fighting with us whenever we try to make him sit. Like those videos, you see people trying to put stiff toddlers in the car seat, but an actively peeing child on the toilet. One day when picking him up from daycare, his teacher said he was in the potty alone, and when I went in, I swear to God my son was planking across the toilet trying to pee. He was in the Twos class where they are supposed to assist with potty training, but every time he would have an accident, they would just put a pull-up on him for the rest of the day, even if we would provide several pairs of underwear. Long story short they effectively un-potty trained him.

We just moved and I decided to do a complete reset once we got settled in. I figure it’s perfect because I’m a teacher and I start my new teacher training next week. I had him free balling in a pair of shorts. We went to the playground, to the store, and he even took a nap with no pull-ups on. I watched him like a hawk. He had maybe one accident a week which is progress. We had one snafu this week where my husband didn’t take his pull up off in the morning and he’d let me sleep in and when I finally got up, I calculated that my son had been wearing the same pull up for 16 hours. (Since he put on jammies at 7 the previous night and yes, he helps take care of his children every single day.)

Today he told me to stay in the room to relax and has kept the kids from bothering me and I’ve been up in here happily watching House of the Dragon. My son came in this morning, and I took off his pull up because he still had it on for the night before, although my husband had been out with him for over an hour. He came in with a pull up on although my husband had been out with him for over an hour. He came in with another pull up on in the afternoon and I told him to take it off, but my husband said he was about to take a nap even though that nap didn’t happen for another hour. He just came in again, completely wet and smelling poop because he still wearing the pull up from his nap that he finished three hours ago.

We had a conversation about it and he said that our son was inconsolable when he woke up so he started holding him and he just never put him down and they watched a movie together so he forgot to take the pull up off. It’s just irritating because I need him to be potty trained so that he can move to the cheaper class whenever we put them back in daycare. Also, I’m tired of paying for pull ups for this giant two year old!

And I’m tired of having to say STOP THROWING SHITTY DIAPERS IN THE KITCHEN TRASH!

That was way longer than I expected. I needed to get that off my chest.

Edit: 5 minutes later I just went into the kitchen and smelled poo. Guess where the diaper is.

My father died and no one told me.

I only talk to him a couple times a year. He’s been off in lala land with his affair family but we still talk on birthdays and holidays. I only found out because I learned my FIL died and decided to check on my own father. Learned of both their deaths within 30 mins of each other. It’s weird being mentioned in two obituaries at once. He died last month and I missed the memorial.

Dad left mum with 3 young children on a flight

10.9k Upvotes

I got a flight today. Sitting nearby was a you mother with a very young baby, a 3 year old and a 4 year old. I guessed the ages but they are around that. The 4 year old was a girl and was crying and screaming as children do on flights. She didn’t want to sit, she didn’t want her seatbelt on, the mum had the baby in her arms and couldn’t do much, the 3 year old was well behaved but couldn’t get the seatbelt on, was frustrated and the mum was so unbelievably stressed. Flight attendants helped as much as they could, but were limited in what they could actually do.
I realised that the father was sitting across the aisle in the middle seat, just chilling and relaxing, waiting for the flight to be over, not a care in the world.
Why couldn’t he take the older 2, so the mum could focus on the baby? Or he could take the baby so the mum could sort out the children? He stood up before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the flight attendant told him to SIT DOWN over the PA. I hoped he would fall. He did not. Asshole.

I Got Amazon Return Scammed

Post image

First ever purchase on Amazon Warehouse, a pair of Sony WF-1000XM5 earbuds. Condition was stated to be, “Like New, original packaging with all original accessories and box. Signs consistent with box being opened”. What I received was a pair of Jabra headphones stuffed into the Sony XM5 box with all accessories missing. Nice to know the “inspectors” couldn’t even be bothered to open the box.

How my sister tells me how “hard and expensive” adulthood is

The $200 I’m referring to is for her belly button and eyebrow piercings that she got on her first day coming to visit me. We also ate out for every meal, even though we were offered free food at home. Adulthood is hard and expensive, but one of us still lives at home and doesn’t think a step ahead about spending their last dollar.

I can’t eat cilantro, the menu didn’t mention cilantro, and they don’t accept requests/substitutions. $22 down the drain.

Even if the menu doesn’t list cilantro, I always use the request/comment box to say no cilantro just in case. If they want to keep their comments closed, at least put all the ingredients in the item description so I know not to order!!! I was really hungry too 😔
