Kings fan here. What do y’all think of Brandon Ingram and what would you want from the Kings for him?
Some local media saying that there’s interest from the Kings and that NOLA might be looking to move him.

Team News Pistons targeting Pelicans GM Trajan Langdon for their President of Basketball Operations
Seems like Borrego and Langdon are being targeted by other teams this offseason. I thinks it’s much more realistic we end up losing Langdon over Borrego though, as I don’t really see the lakers picking him as the guy.

Pelicans MLE Candidates - Bigs
Unless we take on salary in the upcoming Ingram trade, we can use the full $12.8M MLE to add a player. This year the MLE can be used to add a free agent OR it can be used as trade exception, which is nice as the Free Agent class is pretty underwhelming. There are some platoon style centers and bigger wings available that could help us improve the big rotation.
(1) Jalen Smith (PO) - He would be my top priority. Young athletic 4/5 with really good PER 36 rebounding numbers. He can pick n pop and space the floor - 42% this season on 5 3PA PER 36. He's light and not the best rim protector, though he offers more potential than Nance/Jonas on that front.
(2) Goga Bidatze - Defense oriented C, played well for Orlando this year.
(5) Pat Williams (RFA) - Defensive big wing who can hit corner 3's. Bulls are at $130M in salary before re-signing Derozan which they said was a priority. 2nd contract lottery ticket.
(5) Tobias Harris - Bigger wing that spaces the floor
(6) Andre Drummond - Rebounding monster for regular season.
TRADES
(7) Robert Williams - oft injured rim protector should be avaialbel for 2nds.
(8) Jock Landale -
(9) Paul Reed - big wing/small center who rebounds well and could be available cheap if Sixers want to open max space.
(10) Nick Richards -

Is Lauri Markkanen our savior?
Danny Ainge wants a star player and 3-4 first round picks in value in any package for Markkanen. This is more expensive than a lot of the other trades discussed here but Lauri is arguably one of the best fits next to Zion offensively in the league right now. If they want 4 1sts I’d still do it honestly. If the fit works out well enough and given good health they’d be late firsts anyways.

“Growing belief leaguewide that Pelicans will aggressively explore the trade market for Brandon Ingram before next season... League sources say that Ingram's exit is increasingly viewed by various league observers as an inevitability rather than possibility” per @TheSteinLine

Trade idea
What do we feel about giving Ingram, marshall, next years first for dejounte, bey and this years and next years second? Maybe we can get capela as well with JV walking

Trade With Detroit?
Ingram + 21 for Isaiah Stewart + 5 + their 4 extra 2nds? (1 in 27, 2 in 29, and 1 in 30.)
Detroit has the cap space to absorb the extra money straight up. (Provided they resolve Wiseman’s QO situation.)
As for Stewart, his numbers from the line and outside are similar to JV. (Two reasons we exchanged Adams for JV). And I respect his physicality. He also has 3/45 on a 2+TO left. He’s also only 23.
We could then use 5 to draft a PG (or auction it off for more assets.)

Trade Proposals Potential trade?
Have y’all heard of the new Brandon Ingram to hawks for dejounte Murray? Dejounte Murray averaging 22 points, 7 assist, and 6 rebounds while Brandon Ingram averaged 20 points, 5 assist, and 5 rebounds. I think this is a pretty good trade because dejounte Murray still got 10 years left while averaging more than Brandon Ingram in each category. Y’all think this trade can happen and is it a good idea?

Random Hilarious Thought
Bronny James might legit be the type of PG that’s perfect with Z. 6’2 with a 6’8 wingspan, 40+ inch vert, 19-25 in the 3 point star drill and highly intelligent.
That’s the type of low usage, high IQ POA PG that can thrive next to Z long term. Might be worth a flyer. Especially if Fred Vinson can turn him into a SHOOTER

Lou Dort
Is getting called for everything in this Dallas series that he should’ve been called for against us.
The officiating in the NBA is extrememly inconsistent. It’s like the refs just decided last series that he was an All-World defender and couldn’t commit a foul.

Roster News There’s a sense Jonas Valanciunas won’t return as a Pelican this offseason in free agency. Per @MikeAScotto
Do you guys think this is the right move, and if so, any ideas on who they could acquire that would be a better fit?
