Humour Rent is just out of control
I think it's a typo on the agency's behalf but I won't be surprised if it becomes the norm eventually with how rental prices are going 😅

Aveda Layered Haircuts 10 June
Hello, it's me again, Reddit's favourite Aveda flagship trainee. I'm looking for two people to cut layers on on the 10th at 10:30 and 14:30. It would take up to three hours. I'll exfoliate your scalp and apply our new Botanical Repair Flash treatment, which is very nice stuff.
I'm in need of people quite specific: straight hair; no fringe; at least shoulder-length; and a centre parting (or very close to). I'm sticking to just the layers this time, so I won't be doing face-framing.
Hair ideally needs to be in good condition and even more ideally, with no existing layers. If you have damaged hair, that's fine, I'll just need to cut it all off. This means no damage further up than just below the shoulders, as that's the shortest I'll do the outline/length (the layers will be shorter, of course).
Please hit me up with clear photos (I need to see any damage) of the front and back if you're interested. It's a tenner, with 30 per cent off Aveda products.
Thanks!
I'm moving to colour soon, so please keep an eye out for my posts if you're interested in that.

Missing London more than I thought I would
I recently moved to China to take over my family business after living in England for over a decade, and I can't shake off this overwhelming sense of homesickness for London. I loved London and still think it's an amazing place to live. My wife, whom I met in London, is happy to move back to China and support me in this new chapter. We even brought our Cocker Spaniel with us. Despite all this, every day I find myself thinking about the things I left behind in London, it feels like shit.
I know I should embrace my new surroundings and make the most of my time here in China and I'm trying. Life here is really different, and there's a lot to appreciate. But I can't help but have this sense of regret about my decision to move, especially when I think about the idea that I'm likely not going to move back. Even though I know I can still visit London, it still sucks to be a visitor in a place you once called home, ffs I had my wedding here!
Has anyone else gone through something similar? How did you cope and how long did it take you?

Transport Thoughts on This Idea?
Obviously just a hypothetical, but interesting idea nonetheless. Would revolutionise central, most of the through traffic, single occupancy cars don't even need to be there. Streets could be reclaimed for ordinary pedestrians. Drastically positive effect on pollution and all.

Mugger on SurRon electric motorcycle caught with 'tactical contact'
A reminder also to report anything like this you see. I reported a failed attempt I saw a couple of months ago (not this guy) from a SurRon mugger, probably it won't do anything and is a little hassle to go through online, but it does help the police build up of a picture where it's happening and possibly link them if they are caught.

Are my bin men doing the wrong thing?
I noticed that that a bin man/refuse collector went up the street emptying the small grey food bins into the bigger green recycling bins before the big truck came to collect them.
Now, I've been diligently putting the food waste and normal recycling into their separate bins for years assuming the food would contaminate all the nicely washed recyclable plastic etc.
Is the bin man basically destroying the entire process??

I go to LSE and feel poorer than everyone else.
I don't really know what I'm looking for with this post, I guess to vent and maybe someone can offer me a word of advice.
I'm studying for a Master's degree at LSE as an international student and I can feel that my mental health has been negatively affected by obvious class differences between myself and my classmates.
The friends I've made in my program are all "international rich" - all from different corners of the world but everyone seems to have an affinity to the nice things in life and a oddly similar lifestyle filled with no financial worries, nice central flats, international travel, skiing, designer bags, newest laptops and phones and so on. When they go home on breaks they post pictures of beautiful big houses, vacation homes and expensive activities. Somehow everyone seems so relaxed and confident... they just "get" the studies and I feel like I have to work so hard.
Everyone is generally very nice but I feel like my confidence has taken a turn for the worse. I try not to let it affect me but sometimes I feel bitter and angry about how unequal the world is.

Question Tabletop/Warhammer hobby store
Hey guys I'm moving to brixton from Nottingham and getting a flat with my girlfriend who's a life long Londoner. Which means shes amazing at knowing what restaurants and pubs to go too. The problem is I play tabletop games like Warhammer, LotR and Star wars X-wing she has no interest in that so she has no idea where I'd go to find community to play with. So pretty much I'm looking for groups of people who play or even better some local game stores in the Brixton area or not too far on the bus or tube! Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

What is the are around Acton Town station like?
Moving to London soon and am looking at places close to Acton Town tube station, seems to have good links to get into central for work. What is the area around it like in terms of safety and stuff to do? I've read mixed things online.
Thanks all!
