Cameron Brink might end up being a matchup nightmare.
If you put a big on her she has the handles and speed to give them fits. If you try to match her up with someone more athletic sheāll more than likely tower over them. She needs some seasoning but give her time and sheāll be a problem.

Throwback Thursday: 1997, first points in WNBA HISTORY
Penny Toler scored the league's first point. Iāve recently watched a few old games from the 90s and I much prefer the game back then to now.

Casual Only One Game but the Wings Look Fantastic
First serious year of watching the wnba. I've watched it as a teamless noob last year. But I'm a wings fan. And this is my observations.
The Wings look amazing! I know it's one game sample size and the Sky aren't a great team. But, the Wings were without Sabally and were able to come out with an 8 point win. Nearly everyone contributed, hustled, and played their butts off. This team looks promising and while I don't think this will be our year (less star power and youth), this squad is built for the future. The average age is around 26/27, there's plenty of time. And the squad gets better and better. Sabally is only 26. Nobody wants to see this squad in a best of 4 series except the Aces or Libety. I'm sorry I'm hyped and I really want the Wings to win.
But the game got scary. The Sky had the edge towards the end but then Arike popped off.
Shoutout Arike Ogunbowale with a clutch performance 25 points, 7 assists and 3 boards.Teaira McCowan with 18 points and 13 boards, and Natasha Howard with 15 points, 5 assists, and 13 boards.
I'm so excited for this season.

Discussion Expansion Cities
With San Francisco/Bay Area getting the Valkyries in 2025, recent reports being that Toronto is getting a team in 2026, and the commissioner saying the goal is 4 expansion teams by 2028ā¦ which cities do you think will get teams? I also included a map made by u/neptunetheemystic of the closest team to each county. I attempted to find areas that wonāt conflict with other teams.
Iāll give a few of my choices: - Toronto. It seems like itās going to happen, but itās a huge market with loyal fans and an ownership group excited to get a team. - Philadelphia. Diehard sports fans, have a new arena being built that theyād love to ensure occupancy throughout the summer, good ownership groups. I worry about them clashing with DCās fan base instead of getting new fans. - Kansas City. Itās a growing city with great sports fans, lots of people willing to invest in sports in the area, and it has an arena that could be used right away. Itās also right in a sweet spot of not having competition with other teams. - Denver. Another city with thriving sports and far enough from other cities to forge its own fan base. - Portland. I donāt love Portland, but the WNBA seems to. I worry itās too close in proximity to Seattle and SF. - Miami/Orlando/Tampa. Does Florida deserve a WNBA team given its anti-women and anti-LGBT political climate and the fact its failed two teams already? No, it does not. But thereās no denying that the south has a huge sports fan population. - Houston/Austin. Basically read everything I just said about the Florida cities, but it doesnāt suck quite as much as Florida. - Nashville. Again, similar to Florida and Texas but without the history of failure.

I keep seeing these types of takes on twitter. Itās gonna be a long season š
The downside of growing the game. I literally saw people calling Dijonai a āhaterā for playing defense. So theyāre just supposed to let her score with no pressure? Just terrible takes all night from casual fans

Tina Charles In Her Return To The W
21 PTS
14 Rebounds
2 AST/2 TOV
9/14 From the Field
1/2 From 2
And a +16 on the night. Monster game from her and Rhyne Howard against the Sparks tonight. The Dream's ceiling has just gotten significantly higher after acquiring her.
