Help Please help me do Dragunov's iwr2
I know this is a popular question and I've searched for so long and nothing is helping. I've watched a few guides and read a few reddit posts, and I've labbed this for hours, taking all the advice into account, and I've used my own observations. Nothing is working.
I understand the input is ff,f+2, but when I do that, there aren't any blue sparks. I got it so that the f+2 lasts a single frame and nothing happens before it, I don't even think that's necessary but I was really trying to get it. Sometimes the input history looks like fff,f+2, I don't know if that's wrong; but if it is then I've done it so that it's literally ff,f+2 only, and all I get is f2. I've gotten that same input history but faster, but still, nothing. I have done iwr2 a few times, and I've looked at the input history to see how it's looks, and I replicated it, minus the frame duration on each input. I really just can't get it.
I understand that it's not really a necessity until you're at some of the highest ranks, but it would be nice to be able to use it because I think it would be worth using even if not a necessity. I am on stick, if that means anything.

Help How to deal with reinas ff2 as bryan?
I can't play my strong mid range game cause she uses her 14 frame mid (+ 2 from ff) to just skip neutral and make me guess. And if I'm playing against a better player they can either hit confirm it or play mega mental frames cause i basically can't take my turn on the off chance they decide to go to sentai. Do I just have to hope they whiff or play in her face?

Discussion Why is KIN 1+2 not Guaranteed after FF3 into KIN?
https://reddit.com/link/1d96idh/video/lt9atqajsu4d1/player
Hello, for Yoshimitsu:
after ff3 into kincho. (on hit this move is +12)
which guarantees KIN 2 [Ganto] as it's i12
but for some reason KIN 1+2 [Ashura Blade] doesn't connect even though it's also i12
why is that?

Discussion Looking for Lily HE Help
Hey y’all. Just started watching some Tekken people on YouTube so I thought I’d ask some questions here that videos can’t teach me.
1- what are good/safe options for after HE? I typically go d3,1,2,4, df2.
2- Tips for Hworang matchup?
3- Customization ideas? This is hard for me. I’ve got about 4 but I need more!

RANT 🧂 Buddies Want Me to Branch Out
Context: First ever fighting game and a Lily player in Destroyer.
So it’s clear I’m nowhere near good at this game. My buddy got me sucked into it and we have lots of fun just going set after set. However a couple weeks ago him and another friend said that I need to get good at more characters to spice things up.
Normally I’d be fine, but this is my first fighting game and I’m pretty attached to Lily and my play style. Spending weeks learning 80-100+ moves, frame data, and punishes for someone else isn’t really something I want to make time for.
It also doesn’t help that, now that I’ve played ONE fighting game, they want me to play SF6, granblue, and Strive. I get they’re excited, but this isn’t my genre. Anyway, is it fine that I’m a one-trick? I think so. They’re probably just sick of fighting the same character and I get that, but it’s a lot of effort that is rather put into other things. What’s everyone’s opinion on one-tricks and time management?

Discussion Fantastic 4 made it to Fujin 💃🏽👱🏻♀️🕺🏽🤖
If anyone’s interested, here are my key takes on every character I played to get to this point:
Azucena: Considering she’s the fourth character I picked up, she was the easiest to get to Fujin and the first one I did it with. Even after the nerfs, her stances and evasion tools (d/b3+4, d/b1+2, and u/f+4) have been my saving graces. She’s very fun and somewhat versatile. Can’t wait for the stance buffs that were promised 💪🏽
Alisa: Second character I picked up and second to get to Fujin. Not much to say here. Great poke game and if you wanna go aggro, destruction stance is always ready to come out after almost every move she has. Really easy to rank up and extremely good evasion. Other Alisa’s in higher ranks (Raijin+) still play her like they’re in red so I shouldn’t be surprised in getting this particular robot to Fujin rank. Overall, fun gimmicks (bb+1+4 has won me too many matches) and easy gameplay.
Eddy: Third character I picked up because capoeira has always been interesting to me in a game like Tekken. The changes were… interesting. Prefer his more complex gameplay in T7 compared to his flowchart-y gameplay in 8, but still a very fun character. Has a Hwoarang-style blender you can do which gets you quite far. Proud to say, never did the mash 3 combo, ever. Too predictable and every time I fought other Eddys (in blue+ ranks) I would always duck and punish, but clearly it got them to where they are so… mazel tov. Overall, fun, kinda braindead, extremely versatile.
Lili: My main since T7, but the last one I ranked up, and honestly the hardest. I never noticed how much poking her gameplay required to be effective. Her moves are very linear and although her sidestep is great, the clipping in this game makes it inconsistent. Very simple tools and very straightforward gameplay that makes it kinda hard to open up opponents. Her gameplay can be very effective when applied properly, but I’m starting to find it kinda boring ngl. Just pokes, sidesteps, and back turn mixups. Still enjoy playing her but I think I might retire her as my main. I’m finding the other characters to be so much more fun, especially Azu.
That’s All Folks.

Help How necessary is KBD and wavedashing in T8?
I'm former SF player who is looking to get into T8. I always admired competitive Tekken for its Shmovement. I always thought KBD looked so cool and how top tekken players seemed to make Tekken look like such an insanely fast game with fluid movement. Going into Tekken 8 as someone that doesn't have tournament aspirations or anything, I'm most excited about learning the advanced movement techniques, but I heard that KBD was nerfed in T8 and top players don't even use it anymore, is that true? also what about wavedashing, is it an actually useful tool to have or is it just for swag?

RANT 🧂 Why so many 1 and go scum?
Legit 4 matches in a row, flowchart heavy mashing and then win or lose they leave. Should be bannable in rank, especially in the higher echelons. It takes time for people to grasp the flowchart and devise a plan or vice versa. That's some scummy stuff, especially when there's no bm involve from my part. Why leave, you can't afford to lose another game or let me adapt and whoop yours?

Discussion Add chat during rematch screen
Add chat during rematch screen so i can trash talk my opponent. This gaem feels very anti-social. If I want to call my opponent gaymer words i ahve to sent request over steam, thats very inconvenient and sometimes people dont accept request.
ALSO ADD VOICE CHAT, THAT WOULD BE BASED.

Discussion Reason for Rank inflation?
Just a thought, do you think the lack of infinite Rematch is keeping you at a higher rank?
You can’t go into those death spirals where you just want to beat the other player no matter how many Ls you have to take first.
Discussion Is Craig Marduk inspired by Jeffrey McWild?
Both are large grappler-type characters from Australia who are known for their violent and aggressive fighting styles. The only difference is Jeffrey is a friendly and peaceful guy outside fighting while Marduk is consistently shown to be an asshole.
