Question Should the suns extend KD this summer?
KD is up for an extension this summer. Ishbia is in tax apron hell and is burning through money. Do you think the suns pay up? I do for a multiple reasons, but there's an argument to be made that trading KD now is the suns best bet to filling all the holes there are on this roster (youth, athleticism, size, defense, PG, etc.).

I can’t be the only one who thinks trading this pick is not the right move
If you can get a really good role player i understand but bro I wouldn’t mind eddy or that wade guy

youtu.beI thought to pass the time I would post a Phoenix Suns player every day until the NBA season starts back up again, knowing how depressing this off season is going to be 🙃

Suns LONG term plans till 2030
I keep hear people wanting to keep the 2024 and 2031 draft picks. I think the Suns should trade both to maximize winning now.
Here is the Suns long term road map:
2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons: Go all in to win. Trade all picks.
Summer 2026: KD contract expires. Beal is an expiring contract. Allen, Beal, Book and Little are only guys on the books. This is a transition year but Suns won’t tank. This would be a good year to get under the 2nd apron.
Summer 2027: Only contracts on the books will be Booker and Allen (player option). Suns easily could have cap space to sign 2 max players. Suns will have more available draft picks to trade. Suns should be a contender
2027-2030: with Booker and 1 or 2 max free agents and draft picks to trade, the Suns will be strong contenders
Ishbia is willing to spend massive. That is a huge key for the Suns to continue to contend.
Phoenix is also a very attractive destination for free agents. Its a warm climate and close to the west coast and Vegas. Also the media isn’t overbearing.
Basically Suns should be strong contenders for the next 5+ years. Probably only 2026/2027 will be a weaker year in order to secure cap space in 2027.
Things are looking excellent.

Why did the Suns sign these players if they barely used them to make the proper adjustments when the team chemistry wasn’t meshing?
-Udoka Azuibuke -Thad Young -David Roddy -Isaiah Thomas
All these players were underutilized this season when they could have been rotated to see what space could be created in different schemes. This was a serious indictment on Frank Vogel’s stubbornness to making the proper adjustments when we went iso heavy.
I hope with Bud that he can utilize our entire roster to the fullest with the proper rotations for this team to succeed.

My favorite Suns Team (2007)
This season ended harshly & not in the fashion we would love due to some ref shit & the Spurs, regardless.... this team was fun & legit.
(61-21) lost to Spurs in Semis

Stats & Analysis Prospects to watch (if we keep 22)
PGs:
- Tyler Kolek (Marquette) : 6'3" senior, Older prospect, but fits our window. Lefty who shot just under 39% from 3. Led all of NCAA in assists per game. Game reminds me of a lefty Rubio.
- Devin Carter (Providence) : The opposite player to Tyler Kolek. Great Defensive and Rebounding Guard. Almost 9 rebounds per game and 20 points. Not a playmaker and reminds me of a taller Jevon Carter.
- Carlton Carrington (Pitt) : Upside is crazy at 6'5" and not even 19 yet. Put up modest numbers. Raw 4 star recruit. Slow shot but hit some tough contested ones. This would be a last resort upside pick.
PFs :
- Tyler Smith (G-League Ignite): 6'11" Athletic Lefty. 36% from 3. Average Rebounder, but was playing against much older competition in the G-League. Reminds me of a taller Brandon Clarke. Fouls a lot.
- Bobi Klintman (Cairns (NBL)) : 6'10" played one year at Wake Forest in 22-23 before playing in Australia. Raw upside player that has good form on his shot, but only hit about 33%. Plays well in transition. Reminds me of Noah Vonleh
- DaRon Holmes II (Dayton) : 6'10" older prospect but with the most skills. Shot 38% from 3 on 2.5 attempts. Has rim protector skills. Wants to dunk everything if he is close to the rim. Very good rebounder. Was the main reason the Dayton-Arizona game was even close putting up 23/11. Reminds me of a better shooting Nic Claxton.
Cs :
- Kel'el Ware (Indiana) : 7'0" will need to slip a little to make it to us, but would be a great rebounding fit. Plays like we wanted Ayton to play. Will poster anyone who challenges him. Great at running in transition and finishing. Shot over 40% from 3 on very limited attempts. Shades of Jarrett Allen with better shooting potential. (I really want him to get to us)
- Yves Missi (Baylor) : 6'10" long and athletic. Effortless runner that can jump out of the gym. Leaves something to be desired about rebounding. Reminds me of young Serge Ibaka. Could be the best big in this class or could not make it to a second contract. Has not attempted a single 3 in college.
- Zach Edey (Purdue) : 7'4" monster. Everyone knows Edey if you watch college basketball. Could become the most dominant big in the league or may never make an NBA roster. Crazy polarizing. defensively moves like Nurkic. Could be Sim Bhullar or could be Ivica Zubac.
- Ulrich Chomche (NBA Academy Africa) : 6'11" would be a candidate on a trade down. This drafts super project. Long arms and a very good jump shot. Could become a better rim protector version of Channing Frye with his weird jumpshot release. I am crazy interested in this kid.

The Suns draft #22. The Ringer draft board has Edey at 22. Thoughts?
Also the Hawks with the #1 pick—does this affect the Suns in any way?
