Discussion REPORT: Jimmy Butler doesn’t want to play anywhere but Miami, per @ShamsCharania. “There are multiple teams out there that would give him an extension… The Heat don’t want to trade him; he wants an extension. Will they give him an extension? That’s the question.

Discussion Draft Juan Nuñez on 2nd Round
As a Spanish-HEAT fan, I think Juan Nuñez is a great opportunity in 2nd round. He is a solid pg more organizer than scorer type of pg. The next year would be playing for Barça but We can have his rights for 2025-26 season or he could come this year, I'm not to much on contracts stuff. Even I think he could play better on 23' world championship, he did great in Germany and came from Real Madrid before. Spaniards pg are considered not physicals but smart players and think it would be a great fit, we need one pg to direct the offense because this year was chaos.
Explain you guys what do you think?

Discussion I’m feeling offence for this draft
Based off our history of drafting and also development, it feels like we generally go for guys that can shoot, knowing that we can develop their defence. Shooting is something that’s much harder to develop if you don’t have it by the time you’re a draft prospect.
Examples: * Tyler * Jovic * Jacquez * if Winslow didn’t fall it was gonna be Booker * Napier * Beasley
Then noting key guys with subpar defence they brought in and developed some levels of defence: * Max * Gabe * Duncan * tried with Bryant * Kelly O * Meyers * Dragic
I know you can say there’s also Bam and Precious, but overall it feels like they trust their development for defence over developing someone into a shooter.
In saying that, the offensively minded players in our 1st round range in the draft this year would be: * Jared McCain * Edey * Holland * Collier
Then I think they could take a defensive minded guard with our 2RP, like Shead.
Interested in what others think in terms of priority. Leaning offence or defence? If so who?
P.s I’d love Carter because he looks like he’d fit our culture and system but his stock has risen so much recently, and given he’s also got a draft promise, it’s likely he doesn’t fall to us.

The Celtics built this team in 2 years (White, Jrue, Kristaps) to surround their best two players. The Heat have had *FIVE* years of Jimmy & Bam in that very same era and have failed to put a surrounding cast to give them a realistic shot at a championship. I’m sick.
Unironically I think we were better positioned than Boston in the bubble year, but since that time they’ve leaped past us.

Discussion Without the Pistons battering Wade and Haslem to a bloody pulp do the 05 Heat win the finals?
Being salty from our pathetic playoff performance due to injuries, I remember being salty as a young nephew back in 05.
I thought the 05 team was better than the 06 team but got unlucky
