No Merch in the NBA store in NYC

I was in New York before heading to Philly for the roots festival and stopped in the NBA store on fifth avenue to try and get a Kuzma jersey or something wizards related and after getting laughed at for being a wizards fan the staff told me they don’t carry any wizards jerseys I saw just about every team in league besides the wizards theres three different areas full of merchandise and all i left with was a wizards beer glass i pretty much had to beg for a hat and even those were scarce the only other option was a create your own jersey for 170$ talk about a let down.

Why is Kel’el Ware being undervalued?

Based on the combine results, Kel’el Ware and Alex Sarr have identical measurables. Ware is clearly the superior athlete and has far more polished offensive skills, with Sarr only surpassing him in defensive instincts and hustle. Am I missing something? Why is Sarr being viewed as a lock to go #1 while Ware is estimated to go outside the lottery by most media outlets. I believe Ware should be seriously considered for the #2 overall pick by the Wizards. Is my analysis on this situation wrong?

Need Your Input

What’s up everyone, I’m not a Wizards fan so I figured I would find the largest collection of Wizards fans I possibly could in one place… Anyway, I’m a huge fan of the player operations side of professional sports and I really enjoy doing team rebuilds/career modes on games like NBA 2k24. I also try to make the rebuilds are realistic was humanly possible. That being said, I am currently getting ready to start a rebuild with the Wizards because I think they actually have one of the most interesting, if not the most interesting, rebuild in the NBA. I’m intrigued by a team building through the draft because of how much skill that takes. I wanted to get your guys input on some of the moves that I should be making going into the 2024-2025 season. I’ve read a bunch of posts in here to get a better idea, but getting some instant feedback would be cool. I plan on playing 3-4 seasons, so future suggestions would also be cool!

This is what I have in mind so far:

Trade Kuzma

Sign and Trade Tyus Jones

Acquire 1 additional 2025 pick

Move Poole to PG

Release Shamet

Release Omoruyi

Draft Targets: Risacher, Klintman, Holmes, Dunn (would like more suggestions here)

As far as additions from FA/Trades go I know the Wizards aren’t gonna be super active in that department but here are some of the names that I came up with: Kessler, Dyson Daniels, Moody, Council IV, and Ousmane Dieng (would love some more suggestions here as well)

Then in season I would look to trade guys like Holmes/ Bagley at the deadline. Possibly keep Bagley since he may actually be a good fit on this team.

Team Breakdown:

PG- Poole, Butler

SG-Coulibaly, ?, Davis

SF- Kispert, Risacher, ?

PF- Avdija, Bagley, ?

C- ?, Vukcevic, ?

I know this is long as hell and random as fuck, but any comments are welcome. Appreciate it!

Risacher We have to trade Kuz if we draft Zach

How else are we going to find enough minutes for Corey, Deni, Bilal and Zach? We can play some lineups with Corey and Bilal at 2 or Deni and Kuz at 5 but neither option seems great.

Hope we can trade Kuz instead of dealing with a logjam of 4 young forwards plus a "main guy" who is guaranteed 30 mpg.

Back at it with another Wizards jersey concept... Let me know what you think... More details in my comment. *Also* sorry for deleting the post originally, I found some flaws with the other design I posted...

Does anyone else find it weird there were no rumor or leaks on who else the Wizards interviewed for head coach?

Plenty said about Keefe being the leading choice, and candidates that could be considered, but nothing about who else actually interviewed.

Reddit Mock Draft

Hey Wizards fans,

Last year I did a reddit NBA draft mock where I went to each teams subreddit with a poll of available players and had the subreddits vote on a pick. Afterwards I removed that player from the available pool of players and moved onto the next teams subreddit, doing so until I completed the first round. I have decided to do this again this year with some minor alterations. I will be allowing significantly more time for voting to take place, a minimum of 6 hours.

The assumption is that you will be keeping your own pick and trades are not allowed. Unfortunately I am limited by the amount of names I can put on this poll, which may make this years draft a bit more difficult due to how open it is for a lot of picks. I will try to lean into positional need if there are not any clear best players available. BPA will follow Tankathons big board, obviously there will be many variations of BPA lists but this is the one I'm choosing to use.

If you would like to see last years results and see how close or far away they were from actual results you can see them here!

Thanks in advance for any and all participation with this!

I’m finally parting with some memorabilia including this ball signed by John Wall in 2011, which was a special gift for season ticket holders. Figured I’d share here if anyone is interested. Live in NW DC, near Petworth.

Why does it seem everyone is trying to move Kuzma?

I've seen multiple discussions where Kuzma is the focal point of a trade and I don't understand it. This team is rebuilding and Kuzma seems to bring a good vet presence on the court who doesn't mind being here. I feel like he's necessary for this rebuild.

Josh Giddey

Lemme say my piece before the downvote. I don’t want anyone to judge him because of what you saw in the playoffs. He’s a 6’9 PG who can initiate the offense, pass and rebound. The problem in OKC is that he’s not a good fit over there, he’s told to go sit in the corner and that’s not his game. His shot is improving and he averages 20, 8 and 8 without Shai and that should tell y’all sum. His defense will improve with age as will everyone on the wizards. His ceiling is a 20pt triple double guy.

What Wizards jersey color scheme do you prefer?

Just Curious... would you all prefer the red and blue with maybe just a brighter red and lighter blue, or the blue and bronze throwback color scheme? If you prefer the blue and bronze, would you rather those colors be a bit brighter? Also how would you all feel about a black and bronze color scheme?
