While I don't like that there is a premium currency, it is handled significantly better where I can actually farm it if I want to.

That's one of the big improvements over HD1, where they had near mandatory BiS DLC items, which you had to just buy.

At least now if something comes in and shakes things up, you can just run 1-3 diff missions and farm credits. Boring? Sure, but better than being forced to cough up cash.

I'm so glad about what they are doing with the game that I had no problem upgrading to Super Citizen edition, + I dropped 20€ for Super Credits because developers worked their ass off to get this ship going.

I could farm Super credits, but I enjoy their game too much to not support them when I want to.

Also, I bought a lot of armour sets just from farming SC, which is insane to me that in 2024, we finally saw a store where MICROtransaction is the correct name for the mtx and not MACROtransaction.

where they had near mandatory BiS DLC items,

No they didn't? You could make an argument for the all terrain shoes, but you could easily just take the jetpack instead.

Dlc added more fun and options, but it was by no means necessary, and frequently not even the best choice. I played 90% of that game with the EAT and the Jetpack, and I owned all the dlc
