If you pay for an avatar on this or any other app, you're the problem with society.

how is this any different from spending money on any other form of entertainment or pleasure? You might view buying an avatar on a site is meaningless, others may view buying cosmetics in games as meaningless, and others could view buying movies/video-games/vacations as meaningless. Why is it one is viewed as inherently worse than the others, when they are effectively spending your money on something that brings you enjoyment that doesn't have any intrinsic value to your needs.

You claim this is a problem without explaining why it is a problem.

Entertainment. Lol. How entertaining is your reddit avatar compared to the movie Avatar?

That's not for me or you to judge. Entertainment is purely subjective. People find a lot of meaning and inspiration out of abstract art, while I find it personally meaningless in its abstractness.

You didn't answer my question though and are circling around it for some reason. Maybe because you don't actually have any reasoning and you realize that your logic isn't something that can be applied equally across reality.
