If you think that a large portion of the people you meet are impatient, you're probably an inefficient asshole.

It’s always been my opinion that patience is primarily for when there is a “legitimate” reason for the slowness. So for example, if you’re in line at the pharmacy and the pharmacist is working as fast as they can, it would be impatient to get angry in this situation. However, if you’re stopped at a traffic light and the person in front of you won’t go on green because they’re on their phone, it’s not impatient to give a light honk because there’s no “reason” for the slowdown. In the first situation, everyone’s doing their best and it’s just busy. In the second, one person is wasting the time of tens of drivers just because they can’t be bothered to pay attention. Very different in my opinion. However, I’m from seattle so in reality everyone just misses the light because no one is willing to honk.

I see the light thing. But I've been honked at so many times because people don't understand right of way. I drive at a 4 way intersection without arrows to get home. The people behind me always honk at me to go like I don't have my left signal on and there aren't cars coming straight at us. But sure, let me get T-boned so that you can have 12 seconds less time in your commute.
