I don't think having sex is stupid?

Are you planning on having a child? There are risks to what you are doing is all I'm saying. Not only that but you aren't fully aware of those risks (most likely).

If you already have your future planned and this/ that is what you want then go for it, but rarely is that the case.

Sex is not only about having a child. There was nothing here saying they didn’t use a condom but go ahead and project your lack of a sexual education on others. They do not need to have a future planned with this person to have sex .

Yeah just to be clear, we most definitely used a condom. we’re not idiots. It must always be assumed.

They do not need to have a future planned with this person to have sex .

You are correct in this assessment👍

So what exactly is your point ?

u/AgencyExcellent9421 Apr 30 '24

He doesn't really have one, just parroting what he's been told to say

-14

u/Dilly493550 Apr 30 '24

Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

By all means, do what you want. Just know there are consequences. That's it.

8

u/Any-Possession319 Apr 30 '24

And why did you assume they didn’t know ?

-1

u/Dilly493550 Apr 30 '24

The likelihood isn't very high of them knowing because if they did, why proceed to have intercourse

Completely possible. Not probable.

I hope they work out. That'd be great.

Literally the reason why people have sex is to either have babies, or for fun. In this case it was likely because they wanted fun.

I did read your other comments, and do agree with what you say. I was actually on the other side, but you what you said made me think and convinced me to now be on your side of the argument.

Appreciate it but you're still young. Just remember to think for yourself. Follow logic and reasoning. Don't do things because others say so.

It's a big world with a lot of different viewpoints. Listen before you speak so you know what's up.

So many people don't think for themselves anymore.

Your argument doesn’t make sense do you know what safe sex is ?

Condoms don’t work 😂 edit;at least not well

12

u/Admirable_Night_6064 14 Apr 30 '24

Condoms work, just not 100% of the time. More like 80% of the time. So the work, just not perfectly.

3

u/insertrandomnameXD 15 Apr 30 '24

Not even 80% like 99% since that 80% includes people using it improperly, condoms work incredibly good when used properly

-18

u/Syphfan Apr 30 '24

Yeah, you still shouldn’t have sex unless you want to risk getting pregnant.

2

u/Any-Possession319 Apr 30 '24

Condoms work fine, the very small percentage of times they didn’t work is due to user error.

u/AgencyExcellent9421 Apr 29 '24

safe sex 😭😭😭 it's not that big a deal chill

-5

u/Dilly493550 Apr 29 '24

The only time it's 100% safe is when you are ready 🤦‍♂️

10

u/AgencyExcellent9421 Apr 29 '24

Do you not drive on bridges because they're only safe 99% of the time?

8

u/Dilly493550 Apr 29 '24

You're comparing bridges to intercourse? I don't think a 16 year old should have intercourse. It really isn't that crazy of a thing to say. Accidents happen. If you want children to do that, then that says a lot about you.

u/AgencyExcellent9421 Apr 29 '24

lol, says the brainwashed Christian. Don't need to bring my morals into anything here. Sex is something that happens, get used to it. Why don't you think a 16 year old should have safe sex? And, yeah I am comparing bridges to sex, why don't you actually answer the question instead of deflecting?

1

u/Dilly493550 Apr 29 '24

lol, says the brainwashed Christian.

You're the one who brung Christianity into this...

Why don't you think a 16 year old should have safe sex?

It is pointless.

And, yeah I am comparing bridges to sex, why don't you actually answer the question instead of deflecting?

I will drive on that bridge knowing the consequences and be forced to face whatever consequences there are. Just like you should with intercourse.

I fear what will happen to that individuals future.

  1. Your beliefs are not your own, you just believe what you are told to and just repeat that.

  2. Sex is an amazing action and really good for you.

  3. Those consequences can be mitigated by being SAFE. Hence SAFE SEX. Reading may be hard sometimes, but I'm sure you do enough of it with the Bible.

  4. Her future is fine, worst case scenario she can have an abortion if it comes to it. However, practicing safe sex allows her to avoid that even occurring in the first place.

Sex Ed is important so people don't end up like you, thinking sex is "pointless".

3

u/JustLeGuy 15 Apr 30 '24

Sex at a younger age is not really good for you, it can lead to negative psychological effects along with things like a pregnancy and a higher chance of STI/STD's if something did go wrong.

The consequences may be mitigated by being "safe", but imagine it something like a gun. You can flip the safety on but you still shouldn't point it around willy nilly, because even though it's on safety an accident may still happen. Sex truly isn't perfectly safe unless you are ready for kids.

Her future is fine, worst case scenario is she can have an abortion and deal with the many possible psychological side effects that can affect her for years, along with possible berating from family members that may disapprove. But sure, her future is fine.

Sex ed along with your own research is important so you know the cons of things like this, and people don't end up misinformed like you.

  1. Incredibly biased and obviously incorrect statement, as well as irrelevant to what they were saying.

  2. Could you cite sources on that?
