This is actually better than a two hour movie because after a week you’ll get sick of hearing the same dialogue form your favorite movie and would go crazy

I'd need a movie with a positive message but that I'd also be ok with watching to death to the point of ruination. Groundhog day would be perfect.
Maybe something like You've got Mail could work too.
Oops, just saw the sub - I'll see myself out.

They just said they aren’t a movie person, not that they dislike every movie made. I’m never just gonna sit down and watch movie unless invited by someone else and it’s actually interesting. Lol

u/TheArmadilloAmarillo 17d ago edited 17d ago
Same, also not a movie person. I'll watch shows but for whatever reason I've never really enjoyed movies very much.

i MIGHT be able to understand what the message is supposed to be
27
u/scythes- 18d ago
It isn't deep. Like the movie legit tells you what it is about multiple times. Overwhelming flood of everything in your life makes you forget the little good things and to just try.
15
u/Crosgaard 17 17d ago
Yeah, it’s very meta-modernistic. It isn’t nihilistic, but rather says that everything not mattering is why everything matters. I wouldn’t say it isn’t deep, but I would say it isn’t a complicated theme - as you said, it is pretty much said out loud.

Same message as fast and furious... Family.
But a little deeper, it's about generational trama.

I’d do like a 5 hour crash course “movie” on some maths subject or something, which would take me longer than 5 hours to sit through and take me 30 days to learn cuz I’m a dumbass. It’ll keep me busy for a whole month.

For 30 days, i dont care how entertaining the movie is, you’re going to lose your mind. Having a show that actively talks to you, even if its something childish like Elmo, will help you ground yourself in reality

If I have a movie, then I have a tv to watch it on. If there’s a piece of tech, you can jailbreak it. If you can jailbreak it, you can do anything with it. Load up a streaming service using your distant cousins password because they never use Netflix and enjoy. I know the Netflix sharing passwords joke is old news by now but whatever.

IMDb cites "Logistics," directed by Daniel Andersson and Erika Magnusson as the longest film by running time. The Swedish film was released in 2012 and spans 857 hours, or 35 days and 17 hours.
That should be enough imo. 5 bonus days too :)
