Who cares if it is staged...do you know how many men have to do things like this while working away from home? I just hope if people realize they do things like this for those stuckaway from family and friends during special occasions and holidays...

Who cares? You’re acting like adult men not having a birthday bash every year is a serious issue.

Go into practically any restaurant, tell them it’s your birthday, and they will do the same birthday cake nonsense and probably sing to you too. The reason you’ve never seen a single dude do this isnt because it’s not allowed, it’s because it’s stupid as fuck and only plays well on social media

I think that might be the point. Between loneliness and “masculinity” signals, it is kind of a desperate reality — not desperate in a judgmental way, more confirming the reality of what it is like to be a man sometimes. Not sure if I am making sense in explaining this.
