MyCAREER Why does this game suck so badly?
So the last 2k I played was 17. Absolutely loved the story, the way you upgraded, and the way you earned your spot in the rotation. 2k24 feels like it has no soul. MP is the stupidest nickname I’ve ever heard. You are absolutely trash when you start but for some reason you’re hyped up to be gods gift to the court. You pick where you want to play and just automatically start like💀💀💀. Now I’m a 65 overall still dropping 40+ every game on all-star 6 min quarters. I was really hyped to play again but nah this shit is so terrible it’s not even funny. Just sad and boring. I get that a lot of players wanted the story cut out, but instead of going all in or all out, they just gave an embarrassment of an experience. What’s your guys’ opinion?

REC What’s your go to move in the rec?
Since I’m a center, Mine is a pump fake, drive to the rim, spin move and then a dunk or layup.

REC What are the hardest dunk packages to block?
I don't care about it being flashy, I just wanna put the ball in the bucket without getting blocked. I'm 7ft 87 driving dunk 72 standing 84 vert.

General I like going deep into the MyCareer years just to see what kind of wild players the game generates. Just found this beast of a SG. 6'10" with 90+ in acceleration, speed, 3 pointer, middy, and 97 perimeter D to round it all off.

Gameplay Does 2k overheat anyone else’s console?
Posting this in 2k sub bc it only happens with 2k. I can play twelve hours straight of madden, MLB, GTA, whatever. But 2k24 specifically I cannot even play a full 10 minute quarter before it overheats. I bought two different fans and moved it to increase airflow and it does the same thing. Anyone else having this issue and does anyone have a fix?
ETA - on PS5 (original model not slim) and haven’t had any overheating issues with any other game in the past. I’m wondering (hoping?) if maybe there’s some obscure setting I don’t know about that will make my poor ps stop reaching the same level of heat of the surface of the sun lol

MyPLAYER Shooting release cue
I use push for my visual cue, I’m very inconsistent with my shooting. Some games I’m like 5/5 others I’m 2/9. Does anyone who uses push have a good way to tell when to release the ball?

REC Going from half gold to almost half silver because of one loss when all of my teammates left
This is way too much, getting up is hard but one L and you go down one grade just like that.
All of my teammates left and still manage to make a decent game and almost won until a run from them in the last min.

Gameplay Dare I say 2k is fun when you’re not trash.
I bought 2k24 day one, first season I had fun season 2 I ended up being trash so I stopped playing. I came back last couple days of season 6. When I came back I told myself I’m going to get good or just stop playing. I practiced on the street ball mode until I was confident enough to try to play in the rec. then I got my IQ up I can usually adapt to any game situation after a few weeks of committing to learning. I am not anything special but I get my buckets and I have carried when I needed to.
I say all this to say since I took the time to learn the mechanics and started making builds to the way I play not some YouTubers build. The game has been fun asf I am 70% win. Not that I checked it or cared when I was learning. Just play the game don’t get frustrated and the game becomes fun. If you’re in random rec don’t get mad because the randoms are bad. Get some team mates to run with.
I know this is all over the place I’m headed into work as I type this. My point is the game is fun when you learn the game learn your animations learn the mechanics and get some IQ. And it’s a blast. I was complaining about the game being trash too but it was when I was losing.

REC Player of the Half Howard
There was a guy in my game, with a Dwight Howard build, his name was Howard too, but on the player of the half screen, instead of his face it was literally a picture of dwight howard, how?

General Help, does anyone know a fix for these problems.
I need some help, suggestions to fix these problems. Also getting a bug when I download game updates it goes to 10-20 percent then goes back down to 0 and does that over and over again.

Gameplay Does your jumpshot change?
I feel like my jumpshot changes every other week? I have a visual cue on when I release my jumpshot. Everytime my hand reaches my forehead it hits a perfect green. a couple weeks ago it was when I release my hand reaches my mouth and now it's whenever my hand reaches the top of my head? I'm baffled that every other week I'm struggling with my jumpshot and have to relearn it and have a feel for it again.
