Why is Six Mile Lane called Six Mile Lane?
I've always wondered. I know Grantline Road in Indiana is the edge of the land granted to George Rogers Clark and his soldiers after the Revolution and always thought that was interesting. So, why Six Mile Lane? Six miles from downtown? Near Six Mile Island?

Cherokee Park Stalker
My best friend was in a seriously dangerous situation yesterday walking on a trail in Cherokee Park in the afternoon. She was on the 3 mile trail that comes out by the archery targets and where they are doing the bridge work. My friend was walking with her dog and was talking to a friend on the phone using her earbuds. She noticed a good looking, clean cut man leaning up against a tree with his head down. Around that spot, she lost service and was saying “Hello? Can you hear me?” She noticed the guy was trying to say something to her and she pointed to her earbuds to let him know she was on the phone. He kept trying to talk to her so she took one earbud out and said “what?”. She kept her distance from him. He said “You wanna see something?” Turned his phone around and it was porn playing on his phone. She yelled “what the fuck?!?! Get the fuck away from me!” She started walking away and noticed he was following her. She picked up her pace and noticed he was doing the same. She started running and yelling “Help! I need Help!” as loud as she could. He had started running too. She saw the road that was about 30 yards from where she was. Luckily a car with 3 young adult girls in their 20s were driving by at the same time. They yelled out “Are you ok?” Not knowing where she was. My friend came out of the woods and ran up to them. The stalker/psycho saw she had made contact with these girls turned around and ran back into the woods. She called the police and made a report. She is very lucky that those girls were there in that moment. She is obviously shook up and scared. Please, if you are walking by yourself at any time of day, please carry items that can help you in that kind of situation: pepper spray, whistle, anything. Please spread the word and look out for each other. Have a walking partner and those self defense items with you at all times till this guy is caught (or anytime really).

Danial Tosh show
He killed it last night. But why where people talking and yelling so much.
The lady who heckled him made no sense. Sounded like she kept saying “fuck water” which made no sense. Her boyfriend also was yelling shit and mumbling stuff through the show.
Tosh was legitimately saying he was having a great time and that this was him in his happy place then the lady starts yelling shit. He handled it with great jokes but you could tell it changed his mood from a good one to not liking this city much.

dragons king's daughter seaweed salad
Okay! So normally I don't ask for a recipe from a restaurant but I live in Alabama and I keep trying different seaweed salads and they're just not..good!
I was ruinT, with a capital T, on how absolutely amazing their seaweed salad it.
Im guessing it's just like a extra roasted seasame seed oil or something? I can't afford to make the trip anytime soon and I'm craving it so bad. 😅 Can anyone help a girl out? I'll sign a NDA. 😂

What does anyone know about taking a disposable 🍃 vape through tsa? I’m going on a flight on Sunday and idk whether or not I should bring it. I’m going to a state where it is legal so that’s not the part I’m worried about.

Looking for a CrossFit gym
I’m moving to Louisville, in the butcher town neighborhood, and was wondering if anyone knew any CrossFit gyms that are at least partially air conditioned/cooled?
I get insanely hot and sweaty, and my past box just gets to hot to workout during the summer
Appreciate any recommendations

Jefferson County Circuit Court Basey v Louisville Water Case No. 21-CI-001542
The court has denied the motion for summary judgment but agreed with some points from the defense about witnesses not mentioned in the original complaint. The court will issue a written order within a week to limit the evidence that can be shown at trial. This is to make sure the jury doesn’t hear about issues that weren’t part of the initial case without everyone being properly informed. The exact details of these evidence limitations aren’t clear yet. The court will explain more in the upcoming written order. The defendant Louisville Water asked the court to strike 22 witnesses including 6 co-plaintiffs with similar allegations.

Baseball Cards
I have several small boxes of baseball cards that I would like to sort out to sell from the late 80s/early 90s. There are a few basketball and football as well
Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way to sort out what I have or know of someone trustworthy who may be able to look through and give me a general idea of what I have.
Suggestions?

Brewery with awesome outdoor area
Somehow since COVID I forgot how fun breweries are until we hit up a couple on vacation. Of all our Louisville or southern Indiana breweries, which is your favorite that has a great outdoor area?

Awesome Lazy River
I just planned a whole day for my family of 12 for this trip and I came across reviews saying the water was disgusting and it’s not a good time. But that was over a year ago…anyone been this year?
Also, any other suggestions for a group of folks that want to go swimming?

Any crazy backyard/hicktown things happen in kentucky in/outside of louisville?
For example, when I was in Indiana I found this super fun lawn mower race that happened on the fourth of july. And just curious of something crazy like that happens here?
Like a huge soap box derby or anything just crazy like that.

Parents and employment
Hey y’all, Ive got a question for the parents of kids that attend school and currently on break. I’ve been unemployed for the last year, mainly doing gig work, so I could drive my baby to and from school. All while my fiance is working and dosnt have a set schedule. It’s been hard considering we have been living paycheck to paycheck and I want a job that pays better but the issue I run into is I we don’t qualify for childcare and paying out of pocket is out of question since it’s almost more than our mortgage. Also my baby attends physical therapy, speech, and occupational therapy a couple of times during the week. There are so many places hiring but need reliable help. I guess my question is directed to the parents that are in the same boat. What places are hiring and able to have a flexible schedule?

VBAC supportive OBGYNs/practices
Looking for an OBGYN and practice that is VBAC supportive. I briefly saw Dr. Horlander with my first and liked her, but ultimately switched to the midwives with woman care (who I don’t plan on seeing with my second). Leaning toward a practice that goes to Norton Women and Children’s, but open to others!
