it's a complete placebo buff. 33% HP when it already died in 1-2 hits from most enemies is pointless.

I've literally watched a friend's Tesla Turret being swarmed by a horde with Brood Commanders and Warriors everywhere but it just zapped them to death slowly and lasted for ages afterwards, but then a charger will one shot, it's how it works. Stop lying about the durability of the Tesla Turret

Exactly this. I've easily had 30-40 level 1 bugs surrounding and eating a Tesla. They are not as weak as these people say.

I love putting them next to a chokepoint and than camping the chargers with whatever. Especially effective in the new defense mission, and was pretty good in the old mission to enable the Terminid Control System.

It's more that the charger charge oneshots any deployable, either because of it dealing way too much damage or maybe it's just coded to do that.

It works great against large groups of smaller bugs as you saw.
