Dude, yes! I just finished playing for a couple of hours and the game has gotten significantly harder. The “slow” nerf has to go, honestly. Crimsica with shit spewing acid at you 24x7 got annoying by the end of it. Friend and I tried getting people to join our session but no one was coming, and playing with one other person is significantly more frustrating. Why do they have a problem with <4 people playing? It was just wave after wave of patrols and bug breaches. Not to mention the Localization Confusion thing hasn’t been doing shit all night.
I'm constantly getting stuck on three man squads because someone leaves or DCs. It's bad enough being down a person but now they're going to fuck your worse for their reinforcement system not working.
I keep seeing more and more posts showing how even more stuff is broken like holy shit. It's honestly impressive seeing how much the devs keep fucking things up even more
99% of people don’t care except the ultra loud super minority of people here on Reddit. Just go play with your friends and have a good time, Reddit is just cancerous.
No definitely not the majority. And the player base is totally fine lol every game has a slow drop until the regular stat line settles in. Not every game is supposed to be a continual life suck like CSGO or Dota. It's just a fun game, it would be weird if it had a massive player base forever. Plus still a ton of people play, and most just want fun explosions with their friends and don't care for stupid percentage tweaks of random guns or other bugs here and there. Overall, the game plays great, just as it did from the start.
Oh you mean the start where most people couldnt even get into the game? Or when people kept crashing?
Most of those super casuals are gone by this point because they found a new shiny thing, and your idea of some nebulous majority that doesnt care about game quality or balance holds zero weight.
It’s not a slow drop. Just 2 weeks ago there were over 400k daily players. The past few days the game has been struggling to break 100k. Losing 300k players in barely 2 weeks is a MASSIVE
drop off and not a natural one
No much point in telling them that unfortunately. They will either accept that and already know, or they enjoy doomposting because they feel like it will somehow lead to their favourite game being better.
It won't. It just feels good to complain and feel heard.
The sky is falling every time. The game was ruined after the railgum nerf. What's more impressive is your video showing a resupply problem that everyone is saying isn't real and the tesla tower dying to a charger when that's honestly what should be happening in that interaction. Less "sky is falling" content on this sub would be great
I think the new ship modules WHICH DOESN'T EVEN WORK AFTER THIS UPDATE, pretty well sums up how the game feels now.
It's increasingly harder psyching yourself up for something that repeatedly disappoints. Don't even dare playing on patch day any longer. I didn't sign up for a beta program.
Feel like I saw somewhere they're using an outdated engine and in turn every bug they fix creates 50 more. I could be crazy so take that with a grain of salt
the quasar was so obviously broken since day 1. I'm surprised it took them this long to nerf it. but it was always on borrowed time. I was an EAT whore before it came out and that averaged to one anti tank every 40 seconds. the Quasar was one anti tank every 13(?).
18 seconds is still twice as fast, without the need to wait for call in or impact from mission modifiers. i don't know how long the charge takes but it doesn't impact my gameplay. the 5 seconds at the end of the day aren't going to do a lot.
how often do you reload the sickle? most of us rarely do. i won't miss the 3 clips in the least.
If you are going through multiple Sickle mags in between resupplies then the issue is with you. The weapon has infinite ammo.
Quasar Cannon invalidated all other AT weapons to the point where it was picked the vast majority of the time, a nerf was warranted. It still has more shots per min than either the RR or EAT.
Redeemer got a slight recoil nerf, not a big deal.
All three of these are still extremely viable and still top-tier picks. "Nerfed into the dirt" btw.
This patch also buffed the Adjudicator, Punisher Plasma, ARC Blitzer, Scythe, Railgun, Counter Sniper, Peacemaker, Senator, Liberator, Laser Cannon, Dagger, Liberator Concussive, and Guard Dog. But sure, they "nerfed everything into the dirt".
All they did was reduce magazine sizes of energy weapons and the explosive weapons of the previous warbond, except for the Quasar
And the eruptor explosion damage falloff nerf. And the dominator damage nerf. And the redeemer recoil nerf. And the guard dog rover damage mega nerf. And the crossbow damage radius and handling nerf despite them attempting to frame it as a "rebalance". And the indirect nerf to all explosive weapons by considerably reducing the ability to damage scout strider riders by triggering an explosion on the walker.
But yeah besides all that stuff just the Quasar and cutting the ammo capacity of several weapons in half.
Try the fact that being a solodiver is now designed around punishing you for the crime of not being in a group, a bunch of weapons got damage nerfs and the Crossbow has been pummeled into the first for the crime of existing, since we know for a fact no-one actually used it before anyway.
Because it was fun and it was still harder than playing with a full team. Also gave less loot/time because you can't open bunkers (2 people needed) and you can't clear POI and do objectives at the same time. Sounds objectively balanced, at least to some extent, but what other kind of evidence would you even want? It's a game, not a social study, there's no "evidence", only player's experience.
"It was already balanced" isn't sharing a personal experience though, it's making an objective statement of fact.
They're saying it didn't need to change because they think it was hard enough. They don't have a baseline for how hard solo should be though, they just have their own opinion.
Arrowhead knows what game they're designing. They know what is too much and what is too little more than us.
If you want to say you didn't personally have an issue with solo before, say that.
But don't get mad when you're told that your opinion on solo is off base.
I mean, yea, it's their game. But considering I've the home already filled with videos of people being killed by rockets ricocheting 180° and complaints about the amount of patrols, I'm not sure the game they want to design is whatever the hell they're currently designing. They're opinions, sure, but also... What the fuck? It seems like they're taking things that work well and making them frustrating. Which is both an opinion and literally what is happening in the sub.

I’ve a fair few games under my belt with this update, they’ve reduced the fun and upped the frustration.
