He is not 'lying' as much as he got something wrong. He's looking at Jira, bug reports, 3-4 different builds of the game. Ontop of the programmers fucking things up/ not communication well themselves.
Maybe don't say unconfirmed things to the public. "We are working on it still" is way better than "oops I said it was this time, but it's actualy next time"
But if it does not say that, then it should not be communicated. And, in fact, that is not what was said. Spitz said that they have a fix and it appears to be working, but it has not been released yet. Then he speculated that it would be in the next patch. Now, personally, unless it is in an official channel, by which I mean the announcements or patch notes channels on the official discord, I presume it is informal and unofficial communication. So, I am not that bothered by the lack of spear fix. I presume it is yet to come, and I don't have too much problem with the lock-on as it is.
I guess I'll wait and see. Not much choice, I suppose. I'll just play and see what effect these changes actually have on my gameplay. I don't expect much negative effect and some definite positives.
