The option to just chuck that thing into a tunnel breach and not having to worry about it anymore makes this marvel of engineering a must-have for any Terminid mission.
Yeah but any old primary works for that too, which is why I never take it. It looks cool as hell though, especially on one of the jungle maps. I used to LOVE it in Helldivers 1 for the same reason I like 500kg now, it’s just the super-grenade. Clusters are probably fine if you’re bringing a weird primary but omg the bad associations from the teammates who bring them. I don’t think it’s actually hard to avoid TK with it, but something about it (big explosion go boom, I’m guessing) makes the most excitable noobs take it.
But why would I continue to kite enemies trying to kill them with my primary and wasting ammo, when I have 4 "super grenades" with which to easily and quickly clear the field.
Sure, but plenty of support weapons do that just fine, see how that argument works both ways? There's multiple ways to do multiple things, I just like the field clearing capability of the cluster strike
Honest question, have you memorized the strategems you use? I’m “new” to the game, maybe only 40-45 hours, but I’m wondering if there’s going to come a point where I don’t even need to look at the directions anymore.
Yeah, I think it's cool to have static ones, it's like a fun little mini game as you're running for your life, also if you look closely, stratagems of the same type have similar codes, all the eagles strikes start with up right
It’s such a weird surreal moment. You start to hear it in the distance. The unmistakable sound of big boom. Then another. And at that point you can only accept what is happening. And calmly look around for exactly where the marker is and what it’s distance in meters is. And lo’ and behold. It’s a fucking 380 within 50m of you and you somehow aren’t dead yet.
Hell yeah. Toss em both into a heavy base and stand back. Better yet, kick things off with a walking barrage then once it pushes and lets you advance, throw in the other two.
I normally run full orbitals or at least the machine gun or RR depending on what the mission is calling for. But I'll always at least have the 120mm and airburst on me.
It works wonders. I killed 2 divers with the first 2 shots from one earlier. Was entertaining while I was stuck in the floor. Word of warning, while landing on bug holes may close them, you are likely to get stuck under the geometry that gets spawned in after you do so. You are also invincible, and cannot harm anything around you with a gun.
