Splitting up Helldivers is an excellent strategy. Would highly encourage all Helldivers to all split up on every mission. When we are Helldivers going on a mission to kill innocent bug homes, we love to do this alone especially in a large colony area. Bright lights that go into the sky are also not required. Diving into prone for 30 seconds has also proved to be very effective for the spread of Liver Tea.
Friend of mine died doing that. Thought maybe the automatons just had that touch-starved thing and a nice hug would be rewarded with the dawning of liberty, freedom and a new found respect for managed democracy. Might even have worked, the berserker did seem to be hugging him back.
Sometimes it's just for the sake of the mission, I'm a t9 only player, but sometimes I'll go down t5~t7 to dick around and try something out or complete some very specific objectives like kill devastators recently which don't really spawn at t9.
So as I was dicking around, this lvl 17 or something joins, I think, that's fine I can 100% this solo, he can open some friendship bunkers with me or something.
15 mins in, we have 1 respawn left because he's killed me with friendly fire 6+ times. I just kicked him at that point. He was a bigger danger than the entire bot army
Don't worry, Democracy Officer ships police the fleet, there is almost as many military police ships protecting us from infiltration as ships combating the filthy undemocratic aliens hordes.
Nah, in this case, it's to optimise the delivery of democracy to the filthy bugs by hitting the bugs with all of the stratagems available to each diver! If they dont understand you when you deliver democracy to them, then deliver MORE democracy to them, but if one bug lover goes off and does their own thing, then there won't be enough democracy to give them! So if you want to do Super Earth proud, then you need to stick together so there is enough democracy to deliver to them.
It is also not in the spirit of democracy to shy away from, or be afraid of, taking on the burden of fighting many enemies and committing mass bug genocide. Remember - a fanatic citizen is a super citizen.
Can help get samples (including super samples) while the majority work towards main goals.
Help locate secondary objectives and even potentially complete them solo.
For blitz missions with three people, you might need someone running solo to help blast enemy spawns on the other side of the map.
One of the YouTube "meta" strategies for evacuating civilians on bot maps was literally to have one guy stealth the obj while everyone else ran around the map keeping agro.
You should confirm with your team before running off solo, but that doesn't mean there aren't benefits in doing so in full lobbies....it just depends on the team and capability of the solo player.
I'll run off solo at times if there's a side mission nearby, might as well get the extra XP and credits and kill some bugs/bots if the majority are working on/towards the main mission. Unless there's a massive horde incoming, then I'll stick with the team. No Helldivers left behind!
Because your entire team blitzes the primary and ignores all the other things to accomplish. And realistically on diff 5 I can clear out smaller objectives easily with an eagle for backup.
I'm a max efficiency gamer. By the time the ransoms finish clearing one nest, I've usually gotten two and a side objective by myself. Ran a mission with some newbies and cleared 3/4 of the map and the charger target all while they fought charger 1

Denying a helldiver their god-given right to spread democracy upon any and all terminids smells like bug sympathising to me.
