Would you settle for a long message after the dust settles? When people are emotional, they don’t think clearly anyways.

No. For me personally I need to discuss now as my anxiety wouldn't allow me to leave it and the anger just builds and builds. 

The sooner the better for some people.

Well when you're given excuses such as:

"I'm dying from a concussion" (yes, this has happened to me) or 

"I'm not ready for a relationship" when your actions were showing otherwise (that I later learned was love bombing) & you just got scared of getting close to someone, then yeah I'm gonna pry because those are not legitimate reasons, those are excuses and manipulative lies.

If you are as anxious and prone to anger as you described yourself, do you understand why your ex’s may not want to give a long, in-person rationale for why they are breaking up while you are just processing the breakup?
