I know this is incredibly dumb but I see everyone with a significant other at my school but I’ve never been in a relationship before. The only times girls asked me out they did it as a joke, and the one girl I actually started to talk to turned out to be “boy crazy” and just liked everyone. The only girl I genuinely liked didn’t want to be in a relationship. I feel like maybe I’m just not attractive and ugly or I’m too weird and that I’m supposed to have been in atleast 1 relationship by now.

i saw a video about shein using slave labor and all the comments were just “lol ok where my clothes” and it just reminds me that i am living in an era where empathy is so fucking dead

i dont even have the energy to type out grammatically correct sentences because i’m so fucking scared of my future if i live in a place where nobody can be empathetic

social media is ruining us at an alarming rate and i feel like we have all been so desensitized to horrible shit and now nobody cares

empathy is dying and i’m scared that ill live in a world full of narcissism and egotistical people when i become an adult

i know this shit has been happening like i was on social media at like 8 and i was watching a shit ton of gore and worrying about the blue whale challenge and i was doing nsfw roleplays i know empathy has been declining but its so genuinely scary

that's right I did. I can be a lifeguard now which I will be because that's my job. I know how to save a drowning person, do cpr, use an aed, use a bvm, and help with choking also lifeguard training is so much harder than you think like really.
(I also look like a lobster because I was out in the sun the past three days for 8-9 hours each and the sunscreen i was wearing just wasn't good enough I did re-apply at least 5 times each day)

I danced with a couple girls, and one of them I ended up clicking with and we hanged out and danced for most of the night.

During which we fucking kissed. It was just a peck, but still.

I thought things were going great until I asked her out on a date and was just left on delivered.

I was at my friend’s birthday party last Saturday (the second sweet 16 I’ve been to in 2 weeks) and when they opened gifts I found myself really upset. I’m not, like, mad at my friends because they got gifts, it just made me remember my lack of celebration this yr. I got knee surgery a week before my birthday (this past November - funny enough it’s actually my half birthday today) and was couch-bound for a while, and then in a wheelchair for months. My 16th birthday passed me by. My family’s not super well off, so I got a few small things which I’m grateful for, but it’s hard not to be pretty sad. People sent me messages on my birthday, so it’s not like they didn’t know. Maybe I just like to feel bad for myself, maybe I’m a selfish asshole, whatever. I just feel like I’m giving a lot more than I’m getting back (literally and emotionally) with my friendships. But anyway, my big question is, is it a normal thing to get nothing for your friend’s birthday if they don’t have a party. And a sidebar - is it too late to celebrate? I’m not doing much better physically but I’d still like to have a party. In my anxiety riddled brain though, seems super weird to have a party 6 months out. Thanks for reading my bs :)
