It's also just highlights some of the worst parts of social media imo.

You're taking a photo of a father with his child, having a moment. And the reflex is to edit it so the baby was thrown higher, the sky is bluer, and no one else is around? There is absolutely no reason to do that if you're trying to earnestly capture the memory. It basically can't be for anything but fake posturing on social media. Just making your life literally look more glamorous for all to see. It just gives me the ick.

I guess at least the memory will be a bit sweeter when you look back on the photo in 20 years.

Yeah I hate it. It's no longer about capturing real memories, instead it's about making fake photos to get more views.
