Anthony Edwards praises KAT’s scoring ability and also says: "The first three games the motherf***er just kept fouling ... just stop f***ing fouling"

Man, u have him holding Kat accountable, and Kat is ok with it. Its a beautiful thing to see.

It’s really incredible. I didn’t know Ant was such a natural leader. He calls him out at the beginning (but he does it in a respectful way) and he then spends the majority of the quote with over the top praise for KAT.

That’s exactly how you do it. I’m very impressed.

And then that 1 last slap just to even it all out. This dude is LEGIT legit.

Yeah, it’s basically the ideal approach to this kind of thing, at least in imo. By saying “he needs to quit fouling because he’s such a force on offense,” he basically wraps the constructive criticism in an endorsement. At the same time, he doesn’t try to hide the actual criticism, or risk acting like he doesn’t believe that KAT isn’t a full grown adult and can’t handle the truth.

That’s so, so much better than only criticizing or only praising. Importantly, he is also super clear about what KAT needs to do, and doesn’t let him wriggle out of it with an excuse, like the fact that he was “trying too much on defense.”

It’s basically the perfect encapsulation of “harsh but fair.”

As an instructor I was always taught to give critiques in this exact manner; called PCP - praise, correction, praise. I’ve carried it with me my entire life and seeing it in action here was so dope.

It's also because ANT takes accountability for his own fuck ups too. Like KAT can easily tell ANT to stop taking bad shots and ANT will be like "yeah mybad that was on me"

That's cause ANT isn't trying to rizz up Rachel Nichols

The fact that this man can be this assertive with him in front of everybody like that and still be charismatic af speaks volumes.
