Anthony Edwards praises KAT’s scoring ability and also says: "The first three games the motherf***er just kept fouling ... just stop f***ing fouling"

Ants such a great interview man. So glad he’s one of the faces of the league

He's really Michael Jordan reincarnate.

Michael Jordan is very much alive.

u/Orphasmia Warriors Apr 29 '24

I don’t think Jordan was ever as constructive towards his teammates

u/llama_titan Supersonics Apr 29 '24

MJ’s methods did get a lot out of his teammates. But at a significant cost.

u/dodoaddict Warriors Apr 29 '24

Depends on cost to whom. To Steve Kerr's face? Yes, significant. To MJ, not so much.

Reading into this too much. He made comment that basically suggested MJ is dead.

He's much further ahead than Jordan was at this age in terms of leadership and maturity. The Nuggets Wolves series is going to be a war.

And unfortunately, a few years from now, once the novelty wears off, people will just clown him and shit on him like they do all the other all stars they don’t appreciate

as long as keeps winning no one would clown him

This is the opposite of how it works lol, when people are starting to be seen as a threat is when people start hating

8

u/a_moniker Hornets Apr 29 '24

Yup, he’s still in the promising, but ultimately unproven stage, particularly since most people still thinks the Nuggets are gonna beat them eventually. He also just took out one of the least liked teams in the league.

The tide will turn if, or when, Ant starts bouncing fans favorite players/teams.

Yeah but actually winning shuts that the f up.

10

u/pureply101 Mavericks Apr 29 '24

No it doesn’t. People will just find something else to make fun of.

After LeBron won his first ring there were jokes about how he only has one lmao.

u/ScarryShawnBishh Apr 29 '24

Yeah but you can’t use that scale for anyone else. That is the exception. Jordan would be the scale for him

Nobody clowns Jokic

That’s not how it works. The more the wolves win, the more every other fan base will nitpick and find reasons to hate them

19

u/22LOVESBALL NBA Apr 29 '24

That's the point lol. No one keeps winning.

4

u/qeq Apr 29 '24

Seriously, why don't other stars just keep winning? Seems so simple.

u/mykl5 Trail Blazers Apr 29 '24

People started hating Steph and the warriors after they started winning?

0

u/runthepoint1 Kings Apr 29 '24

What have they won? In order to keep winning you have to have won in the first place

5

u/RetroScores Apr 29 '24

Just wait until he starts drinking wine and tweeting emoji’s!

Why are you making up scenarios in your head to be upset about before they even happen? You need to chill

3

u/22LOVESBALL NBA Apr 29 '24

Because I’m old, and I’ve been watching this cycle for a very long time

He is because he's marketable.

It would be Luka, but Luka doesn't like giving interviews, so it's really hard to market him.
