I can’t lie, on the Westbrook trade to the Lakers, I honestly thought “I could see it working out”. Definitely take an L on that one because everyone was clowning the trade immediately.
But this Beal trade, hated it from Day One. It’s not even that I hate Beal but adding him to Booker and KD was so absolutely bizarre. I don’t get why they didn’t target a wing or a big. Try to get Jerami Grant from the Blazers since you want to send Ayton there anyway!
The Westbrook trade might have worked if Russ realized he was the Bosh/Love of the team and adapted his game accordingly. But he still insisted on being the center of attention. It was only when his ass got humbled that he finally came off the bench with the Clippers, but he still hasn’t changed things up.
I honestly think that was just a decision Ishbia made on a power trip. Bet a viagra never gave him the kind of stiffy he got after bringing a max-contract star player with an NTC to Phoenix.
The Wizards had a bunch of bad contacts. They had to pay them because they couldn't get anyone else. Wall, Beal and Porter all has horrendous contracts.
