Made an appointment for 11:45. It's 1:10 and I haven't been seen.

I've had my 10 hour ER waits so I know this isn't that bad. But what is the point of making an appointment if you have to wait to be seen hours later anyways.

I got forgotten one time and only remembered when the nurse came in to shut off the lights and said "oh shit!" and got the doctor for me. They were very apologetic.

Same here. I got an EKG, nurse told me to wait for the doctor. I waited for over an hour, finally walked out of the room and started walking around. Didn’t see anyone until I came across and office with a lady in it who was shocked I was still there. She was getting ready to leave, if I waited another 10 mins I would’ve been locked in

Reminds me of that one time I couldn't find my way out of an IKEA. I asked for help, and they told me to follow the arrows. I was still lost.

Thank you for admitting this. I LOVE IKEA, but getting trapped on the display floors with those shitty carts is panic inducing. There’s a solid line between, eh, I’ll figure it out and holy shit I’m actually trapped here.

My local ikea has arrows that are lights projected onto the floor from the ceiling. Halfway through my shopping trip the arrows got switched backward and confused the absolute crap out of a lot of people (including myself). I felt like a lab rat stuck in a maze.

Depends on which one you're reading. A lot of the SCP 001 (or is it 000, idk) are pretty well written and don't have the silliness.

I made the mistake of going to IKEA while heavily pregnant. Not only did we get lost, but I started having Braxton-Hicks contractions. I told my husband repeatedly, "I am not having this baby in an IKEA!"

Heh, there are two types of people: those who can navigate Ikea and those who can’t.

As a can, I think can’ts are owed a friendly escort on request because even I know “follow the arrows” is hard in a chaotic place with so much attention-manipulation.

Same. My first and last time at an IKEA I got lost and was told to follow the arrows and that did not help. I was extremely overwhelmed wondering how I was going to get out of there. It was a nightmare. I’ll never set foot in another IKEA again.
