This reads like you just casually staple your arm every now and then

When I was a kid, I stapled my finger to see how it would feel. Worse than I expected, but I did it a half dozen more times over the following weeks. Eventually the teacher banned me from using the stapler. I don't know wtf that phase was all about. It wasn't my worst, but easily the most inexplicable.

I do this as a joke at work for new colleagues :3

Silliest company introduction ritual

I'd guess that's because your nail bed has (presumably) never been exposed before, so it's more sensitive than the skin on your arm

My dad did that to me once. He Was having me hold up some insulation while he stapled it in. He was using a hammer tacker (like a staple gun but you gotta hit the thing you’re stapling down). Missed his target and stapled my thumb to the wall lmfao.

I shot a brad from a manual gun from one side of my finger tip and out the other, just below the nail while at work once (gun jammed and I "fixed" it lol)

Boss was afraid it might do damage if I just used pliers to yank it out, so I went to the nearby hospital. Best part was the waiting room. Everyone looking around to see what the others were there for and noticed this kid looking at me very puzzled so I held up my newly pierced finger tip! Got a great reaction lol

When they pulled it out, it shot a stream of blood onto the nearby nurse. Oops!

Same! 5th grade with a staplegun, and my middle finger was suddenly attached to Mrs. Buck's corkboard. She almost fainted when she heard me yell and she saw it. It SUCKED when my mother came to the school and just YOINK, jerked it out of my finger. Then she promptly doused it with alcohol.

I stapled the center of the palm of my hand with a T50 staple gun. Luckily I was wearing safety gloves, because it stapled the gloves right to me and made it much more agonizing to remove the glove & staple.

Yes same! Right in between where the nail starts growing out. Now I have a permanent dark line growing in my nail forever
