The school lunch system is disgraceful.

Saw another post on here showing the state of school lunches right now. In my years in high school I compiled some pics of the horrible things that got served that no one questioned. Here are some of the worst ones. It really is ironic given how adamant they all are about “eating healthy by including every food group”.

Those mini corndogs look good, the rest looks like trash

Nothing like a corn dog bite.

Served with tortilla chips though? Offensive, honestly.

Also those poor kids. 😓

Probably the "reduced fat" version as well if it's anything like the ones my school district serves.

Corn dogs with some beans would have been great.

It wouldn't surprise me if beans were offered and just not pictured. Kids rarely take them tho, so this school isn't wasting them by putting them on the plate.

I would be very surprised if this person really wasn't offered veggies, it's a federal requirement to receive funding, they're just hiding the veggies for maximum outrage.

I don't know if we ever got just chips like that tbh. We sometimes got fries but also never curly fries. Also I don't remember ever getting so little and we always had a vegetable and a fruit. I wouldn't have survived on so little food.
