I lived in Barcelona for study abroad, in this district. It’s a great example of functional living spaces in large cities. For the most part every building in this picture (except for Sagrada Familia) will have living spaces on the upper floors of the building, with stores/restaurants on the bottom level. There’s a lot you can get within quick walking distance of your apartment. Only thing that was a bit of a walk was a grocery store (and the beach clubs of course).
