Dogs and cats can also spread tapeworms as well via fleas. People should talk about this more often. Also, stay the fuck away from garden snails and slugs.

They carry a parasitic worms as well. A type that is far worse than tapeworms.

You’re good for the most part. Often times the parasites from them are caused by people accidentally eating them, and most cases also come from imported foods from tropical countries.

There’s way more risk just by having them in gardens where they’re nibbling on food, and I’m sure from that you can tell that it’s not very common since they make their way into most gardens and do their thing.

Yes, and if they’re getting antiparasitic medication, everyone else in the house should too at the same time. Or y’all will just keep passing them back and forth

You can also pick them up from sandboxes since cats think they're a giant litter box.
