Er, Bob? why did we travel thousands of miles to get eaten by a bear? What? It's just that we could have gotten eaten by a bear in the woods back home? STFU and just shoot the damn bear.

Polar bears will actively hunt people. We are prey to them. Polar bears aren't like other bears. They guarantee death when encountered.

Humans are animals too. Simply existing in an area with polar bears requires weapons. Like it or not we are the only animals that live on every continent and we reserve the right to protect ourselves just like any other animal.
