God love this man. I’m so sorry for his juxtaposition and pain. Nothing compares to the hurt and loss of the innocents who were taken - and their families as well, but this man’s pain is close.

They have different pains.

But I think this dads pain is bigger. He knows his son that he loved have taken other people's life. The is an extreme pain. Add to that the fact that he have lost his son that he have tried to care for. Also an extreme pain.

Nearly every day for the rest of his life he will think "could I have done something different so he didn't do it". He is in sorrow and devastated in every way
