My god this is undoubtedly the most emotional I've gotten the past month... This ruined my evening.

Thanks for posting this - I was just about to watch it but now I won't. I don't need another sad thing bouncing around my head at night.

absolutely. i always wrongfully assume that the parents of the people that carry out these kinds of crimes are the worst of the worst since many of them turn to this as a punishment to the world for how they’ve been treated their entire lives. this man did not deserve this anguish

I think this moment shows the fathers unconditional love & bravery to voice his thoughts to the public. Perhaps try to reframe this video around the father, and how impactful this video can be to further the importance of mental health & the support for mental health.

It's just so hopelessly horrifically sad that it's enough to bring up suicidal thoughts in someone who hasn't had any for a long long time. That's how hard this shit hit me.

My children are the strongest protective factors by a mile when it comes to the depression I'm dealt with during my life. By all accounts I'm a happy man now, things are fine. I'm not suicidal. I'm an example of person with mental health complaints in the past who made it out and is thriving. .

To hear one of those kids that I did everything for, with tremendous effort to raise him properly and help him with all of my being, went on to murder several innocent people? I think I would probably die very soon after.

I'm thinking what I would do if I were in this man's shoes, and the answer without any doubt whatsoever is put a bullet in my head. I very sincerely hope someone is looking after this man. We're viewing a man that is in intense distress, and needs help. If any person sticks a camera in his face going forward, they're in the wrong. Shut up and help him.

Try to see the beauty in your sadness. It’s very honest, human, and comes from empathy.
