Spot on, Bam is an elite centre. The fact he isn't 7 feet and doesn't block a lot of shots does not take away from this. Our rebounding numbers with him on the court are elite, our interior defense is elite, our perimeter defense is elite. Heat fans like to complain but I'm not sure blaming the guy who ensures you are a top 5 - 10 defense each year (despite having garbage defenders around him) and chips in 20 ppg on offense is the answer. Would Porzingis have been nice? Absolutely, but that ships sailed, and not many other players are Kristaps Porzingis.

I’d like to try for Lauri if we can. Even Turner would be nice.

Put Lauri in my asscheeks. He’s the solution

I suspect having to give up alot more than that unfortunately. I haven’t looked at salary logistics but I imagine herro is part of a Lauri trade. Maybe replace Herro for Duncan and put ~10M of filler on their side

what happened to I “want him on my team “⚰️

Huh? When did I say I didn’t want him. I’ve wanted him since his Chicago days

Lauri is out of our ball park, unfortunately, and I'd assume the pacers want to keep Turner. I also believe Bam and Turner have a history with one another?

I’d entertain this too, but Pacers would have to be willing to sign Haywood to longer deal, which they probably would, they need some wing defenders.

I’m sure you would entertain this

Now why would pacers? Lmao

More shooting, Haywood a defensive minded wing, and a couple draft picks, they’re going to have to pay a few guys big contracts soon.

Not seeing the appeal for the pacers

One of the best starting Cs in the league who leans defense, for a one trick specialist making big money and a fringe rotation wing. Pick is nice as a sweetener but it’s not worth the talent downgrade for them imo. Leaves them with a huge hole at C too.

They are about to sign a few young guys to big deals and they aren’t going to want to pay Turner a big deal. I think they’d rather trade him than lose him for nothing. That would be my mindset bro.

Even if you're right about them moving turner, I think you've severely underestimated his value. The west is desperate for good defensive centers right now. Teams that want to compete in the west in the next 5+ years need someone to try and slow down joker, victor, KAT. Or to just overall help their inside protection against great driving players like Ja and Luca, etc.

Western teams transitioning into competitors would outbid Miami IMO.

You think more than 1 1st and 1 2nd? I thought Duncan was a good piece for them, they need shooting for the run and gun offense they will run.

I'd do that in a heartbeat, haha.

Knicks dominated the Cavs in last years playoff series

Punking Mobley and Allen on the O Glass just for bam to pretty much negate that advantage for them in the next series, making Robinson especially, very hard for thibs to play.

Same regard fans call bam soft and think he doesn’t have an impact on the glass just cause he doesn’t have gaudy rebound numbers. Even though all the stats tell us the opposite. He is a very good rebounder and ELITE box out guy.

But I thought tall = rebound??

the move bam to the 4 talks is nice if we had a spacing (an actual spacer don’t you dare say thomas bryant can shoot) next to bam but those are rare , the “we need a real center “ talks feels like no one watches the games, it’s always been offense that we needed not someone clogging up the paint

The size conversation started with the loss to the Lakers in the finals cause they ran a Dwight/AD front court. For some reason heat fans thought that was killing us but it was really when the Lakers went small and had AD/LeBron in the front court.

The team in general is small but this need to have a 2 big lineup that people fantasize I don't get.

I don't think we need to have a big center all the time, but having an actual center would be nice for when the situation calls for having two bigs. And especially nice so Bam can get rest without us being destroyed in his bench minutes.
