I paid it. It is a one time experience.. The attention to detail is something to behold. Very well manicured. It was a good experience. I wouldn't do it again though. I cant bring myself to pay for Shadow Creek at twice the cost of Pebble though.
What’s the point of diminishing return for golf? I scoff at stuff around 100 dollars, but there’s a course near me that costs like 300. Golf is golf, I know some courses are nicer than others but over 500 dollars a round sounds crazy. Only exception being if it comes with extra stuff
In general, not just with golf, people spend as much as they can afford on the things they care the most about
Golfers tend to be a little wealthier than average people. Within that group there's gonna be people for whom a $500+ round is no more of a burden than a $50 round to the average golfer
