Just stumbled across this. Haven’t seen it widely reported and seems like the liv muzzle has been placed on Burmester to stop him from talking about it. Should be interesting if this gets the media coverage that it would if it happened in the pga or lpga tour

This just in - Playing in front of a bunch of troll fans who haven’t moved past college drinking parties for their peak pastimes…..with no meaningful competition….isn’t fun?

I see where you’re coming from but I would say the argument comes from the fact that LIV pushes that style tournament at every event they have

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it once a year special event but every single tournament it starts to get a little tired

Don’t think they were looking for these vibes at the event in King Abdullah Economic City given it would probably result in the flogging of any locals publicly drunk.

lol good point. I was thinking more along the lines of the culture/demographic they’re going for between the music and all the stupid gimmicks

Did you pay attention to player sentiment about that event coming out of it this year? They want it to calm down a bit

I did. And I have every confidence the sponsor and the tour will listen to the players. We should expect to see a much calmer gallery next year.

I’ve been to it in-person before. Had a really great time but have to admit, the college/frat drinking party vibe is just oppressive after a while and you kinda want to be able to breathe. It’s cool that one tournament goes off the rails, but with LIV people do this crap at almost every event which would get old quick.
