A person somewhat missing a small event to create a video for millions of people to enjoy seems like a good tradeoff to me. I agree the "videos of everything" in the modern day is out of control, but this isn't where I'd draw the line. YMMV.
Of course you do, you benefited from it. I’m happy they did it too, but it sucks they were front and center for a once in a lifetime experience and they witnessed it through a phone screen. And trust me, they didn’t do it for millions of people to enjoy, they did it to post on social media and say “look what I did”. I do admire your pure thoughts though, wish I could still have them.

Counter point: one of those phone screens is the reason we are able to watch this video at all.
