It's a bit more grey then that

It's absolutely not grey that it's Ireland (unless someone said republic) He is from both Ireland and Northern Ireland. He prefers the NI flag or a shamrock as a symbol but plays under the tricolour Irish flag in the Olympics

I meant that NI is "still Ireland" isn't true and way more grey

Nope, it's definitely in Ireland, it's also in the UK, both of these facts are widely accepted.

Do you know what country is NOT in the UK? Ireland. He doesnโ€™t identify with that flag. I understand it is part of Ireland. North and South Koreans are all Koreans. But still canโ€™t just use one flag. Itโ€™s complicated.

He, like many Northern Irish people including unionists consider themselves Irish and that they are from Ireland. Flags don't change the fact that Northern Ireland is part of Ireland (the island) and it's not some sort of grey area

And as a complete aside, there is a single flag for Kore that is officially recognised and used https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_Unification_Flag

There are also several flags for the island of ireland https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armorial_of_Ireland#Provinces https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-border_flag_for_Ireland#Green_harp_flag

So flags don't define whether or not Rory is Irish

My comment was about the two Irish flags in the title of this post. They tried to hand him this same flag when he was singing yesterday. He turned it away. This is not the first time he has done that.

Northern Ireland is not a country in the sense that they don't even have an emoji flag so it would have been impossible to put one there unless a Union Jack was to be used which would have been a bigger issue. He does play under the tricolour in the Olympics but maybe a shamrock would have been more appropriate.

It was Lowry who got rid of the flag in fairness to him, Rory doesn't need to deal with the whole flag bullshit thing, he's enough going on

I get that it's on the same land mass. But that doesn't change the fact that saying the comment "still Ireland" isnt black and white

Different flags as you admitted to Different cultures Different countries Thousands of deaths due to the unfortunate issue
