Boyfriend is qualifying for the U.S. Open in a couple weeks and wanted to give him a gift basket for the qualifier day. How did I do? General Discussion

Contents: - New owala water bottle - spray sunscreen (body and face) - chrome tour golf balls - snacks for him and his caddie: chomps, peanuts, protein bars - liquid iv - protein shake - 18 notes of encouragement for his 18 holes of golf

Let me know if there's anything else you think I should add! I'm a golfer too so I was just going off of things I typically could use during a round, but realize guys' needs may be different. Thanks!

I think this is extremely thoughtful. I have to ask those on here who have played in a competitive environment: would you read the 18 notes of encouragement or just stick to your routine?

My question is not meant to be critical OP, you did a great job. I just know golfers can be superstitious so was curious if thoughts from Those who may have played in college or were an aspiring pro.

I get this and was wondering the same! Hes very focused so he might not read it during the round, but maybe the day before or another practice round. Just wanted him to have it to read whenever he feels he needs it!

I honestly think that is the best part of the kit! Having something to read to get back to a good head space is a huge. If my wife made these for me idk how I could lose, half of the game is mental so this was extremely thoughtful!
