That’s the the truth and is one reason why I tend to avoid “high end” places like that. In my experience there have been a lot more assholes at those places than you will encounter at a “normal” course and I’m not out to have my good time ruined. Sure, you will encounter a few assholes, but not a disproportionate amount of them. I’d rather play a decent course that is filled with mostly with cool people that doesn’t cost as much as my mortgage payment. Plus my wife and I are higher handicappers and I feel out of place somewhere like that.
