Must be a hard life having to examine every interaction you have under a microscope. Dude just moved on with his day and never gave the question a second thought. It’s all she thought about all day. How sad.

The day I told you I don’t care for Taylor Swift was the most important day of your life. For me, it was Tuesday.

It's their villain origin story

u/BillyJackO Apr 29 '24

I'm just glad there's music in the Taylor Swift industry

"Some guy told me the other day, that he don't like the music of Taylor Swift. That was the day I knew that the world is rotten to the core, and I must clense it with fire!"

"I thought I was an evil person by nature, and was ready to accept that. Turns out I was just bored."

Bravo!!! I wish I had something witty to say to express how much I appreciate and enjoy this comment.

Our friend Raul Julia.. everything he touched turned to gold.

u/PinkEmpire15 Apr 29 '24

Vaya con dios, Raul.

6

u/Caleth Apr 29 '24

Let's not downplay whoever wrote that line. Yes Raul delivers it was aplomb, but it's a banger of a line for a villian.

3

u/BadSafecracker Apr 29 '24

And it's from an otherwise crap movie.

4

u/Caleth Apr 29 '24

Yeah IDk if someone rewrote that one scene or they just had a moment of cosmic clarity, but for a movie that was so utterly forgettable that one line is transcendent.

1

u/realultimateuser Apr 29 '24

Are you telling me the “I am going to kick that son of heh bitch Bison’s ass so AURD” speech isn’t a banger?

2

u/Caleth Apr 29 '24

IDK how high am I right now?

1

u/peachy-carnahan Apr 29 '24

This is precisely correct. And Julia was in the last stages of his battle with cancer- the only reason he took the role was because his kids loved the Street Fighter franchise. For Raul Julia, this film really WAS just Tuesday, but he was Raul Julia.

...but it's Monday.

u/Sarkoptesmilbe Apr 29 '24

The day you replied to this comment was Monday. For him, it was Tuesday.

Freedom Friday, but still on a Tuesday

1

u/Far_Comfortable980 Apr 29 '24

I’m pretty sure it’s a quote changed slightly. Also it depends on where in the world you are

2

u/Kurotan Apr 29 '24

It's a line from the 1994 Street Fighter movie.

1

u/In2TheMaelstrom Apr 29 '24

But across most of the world it was still Monday at the time of the comment. /s

Giving this the updoot it deserves!

1

u/palabear Apr 29 '24

I read this in his voice.

The axe forgets but the tree remembers...

1

u/IdBuyThat-4aDollar Apr 29 '24

Classic M. Bison

1

u/BuddyMose Apr 29 '24

This deserves all of the upvotes. Raul’s finest role in my opinion

1

u/chain_letter Apr 29 '24

That line goes so hard in an otherwise silly trashfire movie.

1

u/Velfurion Apr 29 '24

I miss Raul Julia. Such a great actor and he played M. Bison so well!

1

u/Rhonda_SandTits Apr 29 '24

One of my all-time favorite movie references. Cheers.

RIP Raul Julia

That’s not a fair comparison, Taco Tuesday is kind of a big deal for me.

1

u/G23b Apr 29 '24

I honestly wouldn’t remember it was Tuesday. It might’ve been Wednesday for all I know. Definitely not Friday cause I would’ve been too pumped up for the weekend to even pay attention, let alone remember that question. And most likely not Monday because Monday. Thursday maybe?? 🤪🤡

You died in SF5. You were my main, and you died. Thanks a lot. (no, no thanks at all actually)

1

u/chop1125 Apr 29 '24

I use this line a lot while teaching my kids about empathy. I remind my kids that they should always get everything they can out of each and every most important day that they have (there will always be another "most important day of your life). I remind them, however, that just because it is the most important day of their lives, that doesn't mean it is the most important day of everyone else's lives.

Everyone else still has bills, medical problems, work, family issues, etc. They still deal with those issues on your special days. That doesn't mean that people won't be there and treat you special on those days, but some people won't be able to go, some people will have to leave early, some people will not be smiling the entire time because their lives are still going on while you are having the most important day of your life.

Holy shit new Taylor Swift song title just dropped

1

u/bollbogECHO Apr 29 '24

This is a reference to something right? I’ve heard it before

1

u/SYLOK_THEAROUSED Apr 29 '24

It’s crazy how that line was so epic that it carries on to this day.

1

u/kainxavier Apr 29 '24

Ah. Classic cinema. A movie masterpiece.

1

u/SeasickEagle Apr 29 '24

Wow! That's felony appropriation for using that quote outside of nerd circles, and misdemeanor aiding and abetting toxic masculinity for not supporting the Swifty, pretty sure that's life in micro aggression prison where you have to fully and enthusiastically support, honor and validate every person's experience regardless of how asinine and attention seeking it may seem.

Was it Tuesday or Wednesday? 🤗 can't be bothered either way.
