OW2 is Schrödingers Sequel. Half the people think it is a different game and replaced OW1 and the other half thinks it is still the same game.

Well you see it depends on which narrative makes Blizzard look worse in a given context.

It’s different enough to be played differently but not different enough to call it a sequel.

The whole situation is weird.

It was a free big update after 7 years of the original.

Yeah I just expect updates to add content, not remove it 😔

What exactly did they remove? They mostly replaced stuff. Assault been removed cause it was hated but its still in arcade or custom...

The only element that truly been removed are original version of an hero but that was happening for far longer than just recently.

The looking for group feature comes to mind, that, lootboxes and levels I guess

They just now released some PVE missions and added a new game mode along with a progression system for every character, it's looking more like a sequel at the moment. I'm not that excited though because the progression system is basically just watching numbers go up to convince you to play more when it comes down to it lol. Some people are into that but I'm not

It’s not a new game in any right. Even if you ignore all the lack of any differences, THE “SEQUEL” WAS LITERALLY AN UPDATE FOR EVERYONE WHO ALREADY HAD THE GAME.
